Monna can you not rent the house to your son and his wife? Under a proper legal tenancy agreement? Then you're free to float around and find something nice for yourself?

Not really mar. I wouldn't like to have my family give up their rented house and move back here and then in a couple of months find something I would like to buy and make them move out again so that I could sell this place. Also I would then meet the same problems again of trying to sell in a stagnant market.
All first world problems, but very real when you live in a first world.

I really worry about myself. I've just caught myself apologising to a teeny tiny ant or spider, too small to see which, as I squashed it flat, and explaining that it was better this way because they were never going to be able live a happy and fulfilled life on my windowsill.
I think I'll book my place in the asylum.

    The heat is racking up.

I jave just got home from the lottie, where my plot neighbour invited me to pick his redcurrants (in exchange for jam :))...he'd covered them to hide from the birds and I managed to acquire just over 3kg AND left some for the birds & animals on the plot :D

We've done as 9 hour day from Great Bedwyn to Honey Street. I'm knackered and my neck and back are on fire.
And we get to do it all again tomorrow!!

Just landed and its 32 at sunset...I have no idea how I shall cope.
My balcony plants are crisped tho my neighbour tried.

DH is planning a long cycle ride in Austria...I am starting to think it will be too warm.

Hi TT, ooh, go on, there aren't many hills in Austria, you'll be fine :rotfl:

Funnily enough I was just reminiscing about an amazing long weekend in Vienna during which I went to see the beautiful Lippizaners perform at the Spanish Riding School. I cried!

A belated happy birthday to Ginny ! x

FairyP, while dusting and scrubbing I will attempt to think of the unlikliest animal to appeal to mar's tastebuds.

At first I thought an echidna. But then I realised she'd treat it like cheese and cocktail sausage pre-skewered on sticks.
