Damn, thank you again! Just started a post and went back to check something so lost post!
NM so sorry you were treated so poorly as well. 3 days.....
I have wept when you said about my guardian angel, sort of tears of sorrow but also happiness Monnagran!
I will put a line under it all, whatever that means but will go over it then tomorrow I'll be fine!

Thanks Helebore, does not bother me now. I thought you would see she planned it in order to keep on breaking the law. I was told by other staff I would not last until Wednesday she usually got rid of Managers on the second day.
Remember as far as your CV you never worked their. You are better off out of it.0 -
Helebore onwards and upwards, mate. x
Btw, my "Guardian Angel" is a large timber wolf.Today I am going to try to write a few letters that have been nagging at my conscience for far too long. Ridiculous really because I love writing, but as you might have realised, I have plenty to say and am not particularly economical with words. Also I write the old fashioned way with pen and paper. I think that there are few pleasures to beat finding a handwritten letter plopping on to the doormat.
It seems I am to add amateur chiropody to my list of talents. Mr LW has been whinging for some time that he's struggling to do his toenails, so we ordered a new nail clipper off @mazon - one of those that looks vaguely like a pair of pliers, as they had really good reviews. It arrived yesterday, and I don't know quite how it happened, but I was the one who ended up doing his toenails with him. And he's supposed to be my Carer! :rotfl:
I also had another fit of the Dropsies yesterday - this time I managed to drop the file containing all our health documents. After swearing profusely and spending considerable time picking up all the paperwork and putting it back in the correct places, I found the information leaflet I was given back in 2003 when my lupus was diagnosed. Flicking through it, one of the things it mentions is "avoid stress". I'd just love to know how I do that, when everything that is causing me stress is totally and utterly beyond my control.
Answers on a postcard please.....If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I DO have a guardian angel, he has 'saved' me at least twice, I say this because on two separate occasions he has spoken or rather shouted at me! And yes he sounds male. I guess if that's the case then probably more times but only those two times actually spoken.
Lame wolf, my friend loves wolves too, and I think I have another who loves them but is more into native americans, this second lady is psychic.

Helebore - that "close-knit community" can just get on with closely knitting themselves into a pile of knots, soon they'll have enough to hang themselves with. Celebrate your lucky escape.
And talking of lucky escapes, congratulations, nursemaggie and here's hoping the next inhabitants know how to live in a civilised manner.
OH has his radiotherapy on Friday, just one dose, then chemo starts next week. I look on it as a process to be worked through, one stage at a time. We are looking forward to renovating our bathroom soon, taking out the bath completely because it never gets used, and putting a posh new shower in. I sent a text this afternoon to the chap who does our garden twice a year, asking if he knew a good local plumber. He replied instantly with a name and phone number, so we will contact them tomorrow. I am a firm believer in using local tradespeople where possible.
Yesterday we had a note put through the door from a local milkman, saying how hard things are with the competition from supermarkets, and would we consider buying milk from him. Today one of his team came round to see if we would be interested. From next week we will have two litres of milk delivered Wednesday and Friday, yes it is a bit more than supermarket prices but I always said if doorstep deliveries came back I would be interested. Support your local tradesman! One life - your life - live it!0 -
Thanks Nargle I wont care as long as they have been told you should be careful not to make a lot of noise in a flat. I think the rubbish problem should be sorted out by the Housing Association, the refugee Agency and Environmental health department. I have suggested it to both the Housing Association and Environmental. I'm not allowed to know about the refugee agency.
At least I have not got the problem of 8 months rubbish on my landing. The care taker says any body else would have been evicted by now. The family up there put their washing to dry on the wooden fences that should be round the dustbins. The are covered in green slime. She also puts it on the bushes, she leaves the washing out in the rain. In Bolton we do not have clear rain it's black.0 -
Oh thank goodness you have some respite NM. I have been reading along and listening to all that you have had to deal with and my heart goes out to you. Why can't they fit some ultra thick carpet to deaden the noise of "normal" walking about. Hopefully, your new neighbours will be more thoughtful.
Sad to hear your potential buyer is not meant to be Monna, but you do seem to take it in your stride. I am sure the right people are out there somewhere.
Hester, I see you ticked the speed awareness course. I have to say, I actually enjoyed mine and found it very interesting. I still remember things now and it worked better than a straight fine.
I can't add any more to what everyone else has said to you Helle but it makes you wonder what does go on when we're not there to see.
Not much happening here except DH is away for three weeks. Gets a bit lonely but my friend is meeting me tonight and we are going out for a meal. She doesn't drink so will be driving me......result!!
Have been sorting my dad's bank issues out again. Must be the sixth time I have rung and gone through the whole rigmarole of getting someone to speak to me. When you're 92 and can't hear well and are registered blind, things get a little tricky to say the least. Hopefully, it's sorted.
Right, must water the garden and beautify myself........I will be a while hahahahahaha (don't know how to put smiley face on here)
Love to everyone out there.0 -
Oh I think I've found it!! You click "go advanced":j:j:rotfl:
is that right???0 -
Forgot to say I will be thinking of you both Nargle when DH has his radiotherapy. I really admire your spirit and the way you deal with each step is absolutely the way to be.0
