I will never understand how a post can alter between typing and appearing on the page .
mar and peter were in the middle of my words to NM and the fact I was replying to NM had gone .

I'm with the coop for dual fuel and have been since not long after they set up . It was the first time changing suppliers I always stayed with BG and Manweb until both became a nightmare .

I had the problems with the website change and almost left but dd managed to pull up all the monthly statements before they stopped showing on the site and we copied the lot . I spoke to them a few times on the phone but then left it to resolve . Once they sorted things after a very long period I was offered a full refund of all over payments , £450+ I chose to leave £200 in my acct as a buffer against sudden price rises and they refunded the rest and have been fine ever since . They're good at automatically reducing monthly payments if I use less so I'm happy to stay with them .

I've just discovered a hidden benefit of doorstep milk delivery . My milkie called to collect earlier and told me the snow had arrived here during the night . He was battling the elements at 5am this morning , many schools are closed today and the roads were lethal during the night . I woke at 8.30 a very rare lie in for me and the sky was blue sun was starting to shine and I thought we'd get hit later . So it's been and gone and hopefully wont be back .

monna I've been wondering if Millie is finally recovered from the sugar rush . The wool and clothes were bad but as for attacking bookshelves  I'd have made her do the walk of shame and return to your son .
As always thank you for your kind welcome back . I miss the fence when I can't post although it gives respite to those who's eyes glaze over at my witterings . Your Sunday blessing was lovely .

I've got a fair number of posts to respond to today so will do it it in small doses as the day goes on - I pity you all but the fingers aren't good .

VJsmum . You are in no way dense I was using too much description as usual . In 6th form one of my teachers used to say to me why use one or two words when you many at hand .
The only reason I cut above the rings as well as below was to salvage the 3inch double top hem above to encase the raw top edge of both the curtain and lining .
The rings I was cutting off were almost the diameter of a baked bean can , shiny and silver and hideous . Not quite enough length on the curtain after removal to sew a double top hem and machine the tape to it so that's the reason I cut above .
It was an online order and I'd have looked in store first I wouldn't have bought them .

Oh I agree polly they are hideous. Some online shops sell nothing else.

My fingers are not good either I write a 12 letter word and when I look there are only 5 letters there. They are too painful to press hard enough.

I understand about the fingers NM by the time I get mine to work at all I'm also trying to remember who I'm replying to and what they said through a fibro induced haze :D I've just noticed I missed a word out in my above post which is a bit par for the course .
Is it looking hopeful for the viewing and your son still going ? As i mentioned earlier we had the forecast snow earlier than expected so I hope weather will be good for you tomorrow . Look I missed a capital letter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm glad we are having left overs today polly. DS has only just come in. A long day but mostly flowers. He says he did 53 orders all at least 10 times normal size. I did not think they had 53 shops in this area but then we have 5 in Bolton. He says he is not buying me any flowers for mothers day he is sick of seeing flowers this week.

I don't blame him NM he'll have earned his pay many times over today but on a positive note the house you're due to view doesn't seem to have much going on flower wise in the gardens si he wont have to face more :)

My late 1st husband lived in one of the post war 50s houses newly built by the then Local Urban District Council . It was built to high specs unlike later years and was envied by those in other council housing . I last passed it on a long trip and it looked as good as ever.
A lot who bought later knocked the large square dining room into the small scullery to make a large kitchen diner .
It had a very large lounge with bays .a through hall and 2 large and 1 medium bedrooms . Seperate bathroom and loo a very good house .
I know there were restrictions on building supplies post war for trades and public but the council builds were probably the best social housing in any era .

NM you're talking about this house. You don't usually say much about them. Let us hope that this is a sign. ;)

I'm feeling better today. There. Finished my post. You'll all be very glad of that I'm sure. Feel sorry for Nargle. She has a very long PM to read about my asthma history.:rotfl:

    Thank you everyone :smileyhea:

I'm very glad to hear that fuds . I'm sure Nargle wont mind . Just go canny and take it easy until you see the consultant . Are those scrapyards still on Tyneside ? I've not heard of them for years . The name always reminded me of one of Catherine Cooksons books about a scrapyard owner . One of my BILs is Wallsend born and bred so I have seen at least two on my travels .

It's polly that thinks this is the one. It's not exactly pretty it's been uglyfied. Rather like stone cladding on Coronation street. No the site wont let me make a word up. This is just been painted very bright RED.

How do I write in colours? I think if we get this house I shall buy it a plaque and call it the RED HOUSE.
