Nice to see you're all still mad. I can't join your cruise as i'm finally back at work. However, I'm off to Texas, so would you like me to send you a cowboy or two to keep you occupied?

    Now that's an interesting idea.......

Safe journey greenbee. I hope the trip goes well :) Have you got rid of the builders for the time being?

karcher How are you feeling today?

I must say, having read to catch up on the posts since yesterday, I can't imagine why any random reader would conclude that we were mad as a box of frogs

I think I'll pack a freezer box with my latest discovery for you all to sample *thinks* this should guarantee my place on board.
How about nutmeg icecream?!? If I need to up the stakes I could run to apple tarte tatin with nutmeg icecream?!
Oh, and as my 'plus one', I nominate my caribbean friend - tall dark and handsome with a voice like soft velvet and a very chivalrous manner. Shiver me timbers, indeed!
I'm off for a lie down in a darkened room, the excitment is just too much for me :rotfl:

Look what you've started...grown women fighting over your luscious Caribbean friend...I would never stoop so low

I think we should draw straws instead :rotfl:

  • I'm ok on the tiller I have my helmsmans certificate, it also includes 'how to help in a police chase' so when we exhaust MMF's friend we can stock up on policemen, though they do seem awfully young these days. I'm happy to dress up in my leather corset but I'm not wearing jesters hat!

I want liquorice resorts instead of jelly babies, I can also cook a great shepherds pie so we won't starve.

Bloody tablet, liquorice allsorts, not resorts!

Much the same thanks for asking Ivy x

I still feel decidedly under the weather but no where near as bad as I did.

I tried to do a little bit of housework yesterday and immediately started sweating so not much got done. Still not eaten much, I just have no appetite but also can't really taste anything.

Fed up with it now tbh :o

I decided to make a slice of toast, which I couldn't taste but whilst I was waiting for it to toast I had a rummage through my food cupboard and found 2 bags of cheese and onion crisps, so thought I'd try some.

I could actually taste them so ate both bags :o...not healthy I know but it's better than nowt :D

karcher Glad you feel a bit better, don’t rush at it though, let your body recover x

Making roast lamb here and good old fashioned cake and custard for pud, will put some aside for the galley... will add a glass of Malbec for those in need - medicinal use of course (not...) ;)

Are all you fencers off doing exciting things and having exciting lives?

I confess to being a tad fed up today so I must be getting better. I can't even settle into reading a book!

Karcher If you include laundry and cooking to be exciting then I am at Fun Central... :D

Indulge yourself in some thing you love, my comfort time involves Harry Potter, Chocolate and wine :rotfl: The latter 2 May be a bit much for you in your fragile state, but you get my point x

Oooh yes please.. I've always said, once my boys have grown that I'd be making a trip to Texas to find myself a cowboy.. If you wouldn't mind bringing one back it'd save me the travel! :rotfl:
