I have loads of the 'Alan Titchmarsh' blue if that's any use. I needed some when I was making up raised beds last year and had to search for it online (on the 20th March 2020 the local Will Co store was almost stripped of garden and painting stuff - they had 187 different outdoor paints listed on the website but only 11 in stock. Found what I wanted and then needed more (getting on in the year and mum kept insisting it was the wrong time of year for painting).

I could only find one tin at the previous price and knew I'd need more. I'd checked the tin and it was made in the EU so was worried I wouldn't be able to get it after January 1st. It's a very popular colour and the price varies wildly but eventually I found a site that could do them at £20 (most wanted £9 or more) if I bought 5. I knew there were bits of the garden that needed touching up but thought that by this year all the fences would be due another coat so well worth buying them at a bargain price as there was room in the shed. Now I'm not sure I want to be painting fence panels (don't even want to clean the bathroom without someone there in case I slip and fall).

Is Cuprinol still a nightmare to remove? Back when I bought the Summerhouse and Arbour  I used two coats from the colours  range. A few years later couldn't add a new coat or change the colour. It took four different electric sanders to get to a point where a different paint could be used.

i was never impressed by the Titchmarsh range and Ducksback was another that wasn't prepared to go at any time.

When I had the unfortunate incident of forgetting to put the whistle  on my surprise very pale blue Le Crueset Coastal Blue kettle a recent mothers day gift it was a game changer once I admitted to DD1 the base was burned black both inside and out.

I was already fed up with most of the big name paint companies who'd made a real hash of altering with environmental guidelines.

Dulux Once sagged on the walls and wasted days of effort and a lot of cash

I ordered free proper paint samples from different firms and noticed an almost perfect match for the Coastal Blue kettle lid.

PreCovid I would have gone to the eco firm up past Blackpool where even varnishes etc are eco friendly.

I went instead to one of our local trade  centres with my kettle lid  and after a lot of laughter they matched the lid and mixed the paint.

The big advantage is they sell so many types of paint including outdoor eggshell which is lovely on garden furniture, plant tubs, doors etc. Paint is lovely and hardwearing on Fences and Outdoor buildings .

I wont be shopping in diy sheds in future.

I also have a spare kettle lid should anything happen to the current one.

So far the next Fence event is Burthas' summer hen party. Now she loves rainbows so shall we each paint our piece of fence a favourite colour?

Monnas not so little miss may scrape up some glitter for old times sake to add to the decor.
