  • I'm so happy for you burtha you deserve to be happy.  Talk of hats reminds me of a lovely young man who was regular poster on the Daily. Whenever he had a date we would start talking hats. Suddenly he stopped posting and we still wonder if we frightend Speky away. He was alovely young man who would post early in the morning and he really got into meal planning and money saving.

I'm very relieved you know the history of Mar/Ming Nancy. It gets very tiring repeating the truth while madam denies everything.   Apart from having a good memory I have evidence which she seems to have forgotten about.
The whole saga began on Vanoonoos SHTF preppers thread a long time ago.It was a very long running thread and full of useful advice for Preppers .
I began to wonder about Mar when the first Heffalump went missing then the walkers who walked up the hill and were never seen again.       we were planning the OS Armada so we could escape should the Zombies arrive.
I foolishly trusted her to look after our emergency chocolate supply and she ate the lot..
She started laying trails of breadcrumbs to attract wee fluffy ducklings. considered baking gingerbread and disguiising her house as a gingerbread house to attract little children and anything that she considered edible was at risk.
Eventually the thread was very long. There were some arguments and Zippy closed the thread. Not related to Mars hobbies.

There is a lot of valuable info for preppers on that long running thread including some very usful info from Grey Queen and many others. Just before it was closed I decided to pin it because it was useful and it's in my favourites still.
Later Zippy did links back to it and madam can deny everything until she's blue in the face and threaten to sue but all her dasterdly deeds are preserved into the future for all to see.

Polly, did you see Paul Heaton on the fishing programme with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer at Christmas? It was good to see him and Jackie again.

I missed that. I'll have to see if I can find it. I miss The Beautiful South and I still think One God was a very underrated song. They saw the future CocaCola clouds behind a big Mac sun and they were spot on.

Christmas i seemed to be watching endless repeats of Call the Midwife, Vera, George Gently etc. Winter Walks came as a blessed relief.

I'm often reminded of the Manchester song when the rain lashes down.

Another one here who love Meatloaf and Freddie

Listened to both Bat of Hell albums today I loved the fact that they were stories
I know when I first heard objects in the rear view mirror I didn't expect the story to be the one in the video
Given Meats tough childhood you could imagine some of the points from the song having happened

    Congratulations Burtha

I also remember Speky and as well as his lady friends we used to hear about his favourite lady his nan
