LameWolf said:pollyanna_26 said:Have you any doggy guests?pollyxNot long to wait then Wolfie . There are times Monna's tablet scares the life out of me. It has put me off ever owning one however sometimes it leads to some rather nice things. The Snippets is a much better name than the Whippets and it made me smile when you first mentioned them .I hope the weather cooperates and you manage to get outdoors with them both.Take care I hope all is well with Mr Wolf. I was out on Tuesday. Another high noon incident at the pharmacy I did manage to keep my patience as I asked loudly if any of them were working or had they finished for the day. It was early afternoon and I was watching a supervisor edging closer on the shop floor. They sent an apologetic poor lad out and the supervisor went behind the counter.I had asked earlier if the Pharmacy and care home manager was upstairs reply No but if she is she's busy. Told them no bother I have Ds number and will phone her tomorrow. She put dd under the care home protacol years ago after supply issiues with a lot of her medication and some claiming she'd had it. If they don't unlock the cupboard she hasn't so there were lies.Went to see dd and we had a nice little scuffle through the autumn leaves in the garden , the seasons are changing but we both love Autumn. When I got home I realised dd was due her flu jab at the Pharmacy this week, still not confident travelling to see Superdoc. Pharmacy then rearranged the appt to next week shortage of flu vaccine so the phone call will wait until she's had the jab.Sometimes pharmacy staff are great but they're rotating so sometimes everyone is new and there's a high percentage who shouldn't be there and couldn't give a toss. I shall plod on.pollyxx

My tablet is preening itself on inventing a much better language than the one I try to make it use.
I have been reading and running lately as life has been a bit full on. However, when jellybabies are mentioned all my senses spring to attention. The disgusting habit of biting the heads off defenceless sweeties is one that I cannot condone.. Except green ones. Greenjellybabies are a health food and can be consumed freely.
Just tell the precious, valuable one that.
And run.I believe that friends are quiet angels

It's good to hear from you monna please look after yourself too. Re the precoius valuable one she's strangely quiet. Maybe she headed to Bassetts or did the sensible thing and went looking at winter jackets and boots. She drives me loopy but I do worry about her when she's quiet. Maybe one of us should check if the Ming Vase is missing from it's niche. I'd do it but I need a cup of tea first.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

The precious valuable one isn't feeling too good today and is resting. No mention of Bassetts or jelly Babies so not self inficted .I hope she feels better soon and I've sent security home and am enjoying my brew.MSE should have long service badges for certain situations. The Mar situation started way back on Vanoonoos SHTF thread many years ago when I enrusted our chocolate stash to her tender care and she ate the lot then progressed though the years becoming increasingly bizarre. There've been times I've wondered if I should keep a jelly baby stash here should she ring the door bell or wear a string of Garlic round my neck.Anyway get well soon Mar.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

When I was a very young, naive 16 year old working in a bank, we had an older gentleman customer who used to bring us jelly babies. He said they were all boys because there was a bit more. When it dawned what he meant I'm sure I was a shade of beetroot that hadn't been invented!2025 Fashion on the ration

When it dawned what he meant I'm sure I was a shade of beetroot that hadn't been invented! At sixteen that would have spooked me out. It's strange how times change. Looking back there were some men who's intentions weren't exactly honourable but no one challenged them then. My mum ruled her 3 daughters with a rod of iron and was shocked to find the sister not quite 16 pregnant when no one .knew she had been seeing someone from the bad side of town.Years later after mums funeral we were all looking at old photographs including my wedding album from when first husband and I married. My two nephews were keen to see that as there were only two siblings of my mum alive and at the funeral and she was one of 8. I passed it over and youngest sister suddenly grabbed it back and changed the subject.. I asked her later what her problem was she'd been my 12 year old bridesmaid . That's when I learned my little 12 year old sister. H..ad ordered her sister to stand in the second row behind the 2 families so she wouldn't make a show of us as she was nearly 7 months pregnant and it was showing. I'd often wondered why my sister was behind us but never dreamt that was the reason. I was furious and things between us were never the same again. The silly thing was even in the 2nd row it was obvious my other sister was pregnant which was why my sister snatched the album back. My mum had been upset at the wedding we weren't all on the front row though she never knew why, It was 6 years after my dad died and she was the only one there without a husband or wife although my uncle who gave me away stayed by her side throughout. Many years later she suddenly became interested in youngest dd and bribed her to attend the autistic college the idiot psych had recommended even then it was becoming obvious dd wasn't on the spectrum. DD did her year as an unpaid member of staff as even the staff knew she wasn't Autistic. She refused to do two more years as we and Superdoc were searching for a correct diagnosis . My sister was furious the promised reward wasn't forthcoming and dd got a tongue lashing. I only saw her once more at my mothers funeral dd didn't attend. When Superdoc applied for dds full medical history years later and i read a report from a very young doctor in the eating disorders unit where dd was hospitilised twice in her teens the words Query Personallity Disorder jumped out at me and I felt like showing that to my sister but didn't want to see as her ever again.Being at the college had damaged my dd as had her Aunts you're not trying hard enough make an effort comments. That led to feeling not good enough, judging and blaming herself which led to eating disorders, suicide attempts and a lot more.It took years for an amazing GP who was with us through many long years and agreed with dd on what her diagnosis should be to get results. One of the first people she saw after diagnosis was the doctor who wrote the Query personality disorder in her notes. A lot older but a respected pain psych so she was treating both physical and mental issues. She made a massive difference and with a good counsellor at the surgery and the correct medication the healing began.I'm not a person who holds grudges but there is no forgiveness for my stupid interfering sister, the bullying staff and pupils who led me to home educate her or the psychiariist who took over from the Tony Attwood addict child psych who diagnosed her and umpteen others with Aspergers and was struck off the medical register for life. Year after year the replacement Psych would say Aspergers then a few years ago he smiled shook our hands and said Borderline Personality Disorder we can do something about this. It was Superdoc who did all the things needed and we never saw that man again. DD didn't trust him she'd identified her diagnosis hersel and Superdoc has been at her side through those years. I used to wonder how family members became estranged I know now.pollyx
