Thanks Mardymar . Hope you and the RV are ok . I think the combination of the full on year and these viruses dd keeps passing on to me have just led to wipe out time . I'm just trying to get the energy to brave the bathroom and wash my hair as I wont have time in the morning for more than a quick shower . The cold weather has been a literal pain . If this is a sign of things to come I may head for Waverley and boot you and the beloved cat to one side of the fire . Needs must and all that . I will bring treats and a cake tin although the cakes may be bought if I don't get some energy soon .
Hope you're ok ivyleaf .
VJ I miss Freddie to this day . I can't imagine anyone being Freddie despite the stage show and now the film . I have you enjoy it . Will be interesting to hear your view .

I saw the film at the weekend, enjoyed the music and the chaps were played very well apart from Freddie, there's just no-one else like him. I saw them live so perhaps I've been spoiled!0

OK so first disclaimer - I am not a Queen fan, though i do really appreciate how fantastic Freddie's voice was (I love the Barcelona album) and his showmanship. Maybe if one was a huge fan with more knowledge of the story it might be a different experience. But we loved it - it is a long film but I didn't even notice that until I came out and saw what time it was (with adverts and trailers, we were in the cinema for just shy of 3 hours ). For me, the guy was Freddie (again for a fan, it is likely to be different) and the Brian May guy was REALLY Brian May... I am going to watch the Live Aid performance again later (the real one...). i have never minded that i didn't get to see Queen live, but I came out of this a little regretful.
Also came out seething that i hadn't been able to queue for Live Aid tickets as I had an exam that day - that i probably failed anyway... :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning, I've been grandpickle wrangling for the past few days, so much fun and he was a very good boy for us. On Wednesday we had a 'sleep over' with DD1 and Zebra and I went trick or treating, that child could charm the birds from the trees if he so wanted, many unsuspecting people got the full charm offensive and were 'as putty' in his little hands, bless him! yesterday we went to the Steam Train Museum which I enjoyed too, lots of interactive for him ( and me) and it included a full sized signal box with old fashioned 'pull levers' which we played with quite a lot. Took him back home last evening and got back here late had supper and collapsed gratefully into bed, shattered but happy!!!
Today will be house 'catch up' and a trip to the shops to replenish the fridge followed by supper out at an Indian restaurant with DD1 and her fianc!e, yum!0
