    Hi,

We are nearly at the end of September and rather than waiting I thought I would get my October goals written down.

    First though...September review :o

    Good points: :)

    Managed a fair few AFD's
Managed to take my lunch to work lots of times
Went for a job interview - Didn't get it :(
Managed to put something in the pots account
    Meal plan going strong
Surveys are my lifesaver at the moment :)

    Bad points: :(

Still overspent on the groceries despite trying to use up the freezer
    Didn't hit my NSD target
    Didn't hit my AFD target
Haven't hit my lunches to work target
Still working for the same @rsed company :(
BC has gone up due to DH's accident (excess), new tyres and brakes **rolls eyes**

    Now on to October :D

October is going to be better, it has to be and a few hiccups in September doesn't mean October will go the same way.

    Goals:
    • 10 or more AFD's - Keep track
    • 10 NSD's - Keep track - I think I need to define what I class as a NSD
    • 15 Lunches to work days
    • £10 per week allowance and keep track - doesn't impact my NSD's
    • Meal plan
    • Keep an eye on the food budget
    • Hang the washing out if the weather will be dry enough
    • Pay more off the BC with PA money
    • Build up Onepoll to cash out and pay off BC
    • Find a new job!

    NSD's what I don't include:

    DH's Nicorette
    DH's contact lenses
    Prescriptions
    Diesel
    Monthly travel card
    Monthly parking ticket
Kids lunches at school on Fridays - they don't get many treats or pocket money and I feel they should be rewarded for good behaviour at school.
My £10 allowance per week - £2 allowed per day
    Weekly food shop/top up shops

Besides the above, I want to keep up with the reading and get more early nights in.

Small adjustments for October, so we'll see how we go on.

Back later once I have got an updated total on the debt.
  • Didn't get the job, aparently I wasn't a good fit!

Back to the drawing board :(
  • Goals look good! Makes me want to look at mine! x

Boo about the job cross posted :( It just means it wasn't the right one! The right one will come along x

    Back again.

    Surveys:

    PA: £1.25 + £1.90 pending
OP: £32.05 - need £40 to cash out
PP: £6.85 - this one is so tedious, need £50 to cash out
    VO: £2.75 - need £10.50 for voucher

    Updated Debt as of today:

    MBNA: £7400.00
    BC: £5256.10
    Cap One: £547.06

    Total: £13,203.16

See a minor glitch in things but not something that can't be rectified :o

The MBNA is on 0% fixed until 2019
Cap One is being paid off solely using survey & cashback money
BC is the one with the higher interest.

I haven't counted the OD yet, until I need to.

My main focus is the BC, it did help in a way that I paid off a lump sum of £500. Between now and Christmas I want to try and get the BC down to a nice £4000, but I am not going to kill myself doing it.

Debating not paying off DD's travel and ploughing that on to the BC instead? but if I do pay it off, it'll save us £67.50 pm which is quite a nice chunk.

This weekend, I think I will go through the kids clothes and get them up on eBay, that'll help get rid of the Cap One card quicker.

ETA: DD's travel has now been paid in full - one less thing to worry about.

Sorry to hear about the job purps, fingers crossed the right one is just around the corner xx
    Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86
    Mortgage OP’s: £20,691.73
    Remaining 10% OP allowance 2025: £1327.55
  • Hope the right thing comes along soon
  • Sorry to hear you didn't get the job! Everything happens for a reason x

Love your idea with listing monthly goals. I (kind of) do weekly ones, but only in my mind.
  • Great list of goals to keep you focused.

Shame about the job but it obviously wasn't meant to be. Something that's right for you will come along eventually.
