Hello. We didn't the sun until about 4pm, so I optimistically hung out a load of washing!
Yesterday was spent very quietly. Climbers went off climbing and I just climbed into bed with DD2 and we binge watched some Netflix. I may have eaten her medicinal ice cream.
Today has been a bit more productive .
Nice doggy walks.
Friend popped in with some more sanitatory packs and a lovely bunch of daffodils.
Then missed the delivery man and a parcel had been delivered to a neighbours. Was a photo canvas of the five of us. My Mothers Day gift for Australian MD ( start of May).
Started to walk into town but a bus came so I just took bus into town. Was meeting friends for lunch. Had a mooch through a few charity shops as I'd extra time. A couple of tops and a couple of cardigans.
Nice lunch, nice catch up. Cheap and cheerful pub lunch. More donations of sanitary packs.
Bus home. By which time sun was out and I was wrapped up well. Was hanging out washing when another friend popped in. To see how DD2 was, more daffodils and more sanitary packs.
'Boys' came back with their piles of stuff dumped ! Then they went for chips. Totally stuffed.
My garden daffodils have finally flowered! I'd asked my friend to plant them for me coming back last year... I'd anticipated them flowering for start of March. They had other ideas. But they are bright and yellow and sunny and happy.0 -

1 Sought advice on DF issues arising, glad on the advice and told them what they could do almost not politely.
2 Many fruit bits and de foraged fruit from freezer in the fridge, one turned into cherry pie, the other a mish mash of black and blue berries, banana and crumble peanut butter topping, cooked together.
3 Remembered to pre-book a beautiful table for 2 for a slap-up birthday meal for DH in May, and the main part of this present arrived today.

Evening all
&, thanks for the watering can/hwb thought - so obvious but I hadn't thought of it before.
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. Glorious sunshine.
2. Listening right now to DSs singing and playing music together - sounds fantastic.
3. Another load of bits and pieces done down at the lottie today including a conversation with someone who talked me through what she thought the fruit trees were on the new half-plot: two apples, two plums and probably two cherries. Fingers crossed.
4. DSs both helped out after work this evening and managed to get lots more woodchip down on the plot-one paths - another job done. :T
5. New magazine subscription arrived this morning - courtesy of Mr T deals.
Sweet dreams

1. Another lovely day.
2. A colleague at work was telling us about an amazing backpacking trip she has done for the past month. She is much less stressed and happier now. Hopefully she can remain that way.
3. Chat with a neighbour.
4. Had tea in the garden. It feels like summer for a couple of days at least.
5. Washing dried on line.0 -
Wednesday pleasures,
A warm, sunny day and I headed into BuryStEd for a few supplies, it was pleasurably busy as market day and enjoyed having a mooch around the stalls.
Home and Capt S making the most of the warm weather to clear out our big shed. How did we acquire so much rubbish over the winter?? Shed swept of all cobwebs and big spiders  and now tidy.
Over to see horse girlie, introduced her to the pleasure of sunblock ( she has a pink nose and suspect it will burn ) and a full face fly mask. This was darling Bill’s and I told her all about him as we tried it on. Daft I know but felt right to do so.
Into horsey town for meal out with fellow livery owners, good company, food acceptable with voucher off and I managed to find parking space on high street.
Driving home with window open and warm, evening air coming in. Slither of new moon in the sky.0 -
There is a time to buy the gold sovereigns!
V Fested last night on more home chips, well left overs and has beans, toasted with 2 fish fingers. Proper foods again! Strawberries were also wolfed down. As you knows BoP is not greedy, so we also had more of BoPsie’s birthday cake and cocoa. Good for you! Amd as I has said, more cake this evening as well!
4 BoPsie is excited about taking her BoP away for the weekend, as you know this will not be Anderby Creek, but the kites in Bedfordshire. Viewing details shortly. Is nice to blow all of BoPsie’s hard earned cash! Radio City availability in September. Details to follow.
3 I has not mentioned my lunch box this week. It has been packed to the gunnels! Fresh garden salad, cheese, not that flavoured appled stuff though. As it was BoPsie’s Birthday this week, we has had chocolates as well. Proper and good! Again ons abouts proper foods, I am doing Shepherd Crushables this weakened! Recipe to follow. In too minds whether to do an apple pie or apple crumble to go with it! Choices! Of course, Lump custard will be served!
2 Day, well this very morning the heating did not come on! So the summer is here. Be quick, it will be gone by the weekend!
Please do not follow the ideas of BoP. Testing is yet to be concluded and further mishaps could jeopardise the result!0 -
1. Washing on the line this morning. Am giving the living room seedlings a holiday in the garden, at least for today. Hope they enjoy the sunshine while it's here. Then had a cuppa and some marmite crumpets in the garden at 7am before I dashed to work.
2. Escaped across the river to a field behind the office. Ate my sandwich in peace. Went for a read/nap in the glorious 28 degree heat.
3. French class tonight. Haven't done my homework but will enjoy nonetheless.
4. Got to work early, so will escape at 4.30. Hurrah. If I can collect DD get home before 5.30 I'll have a whole hour before I leave for French and can actually relax a little.
5. 2 weeks until our mini break to Lille (scraping the barrel here...)0 -
Once again no sun until 4pm but this is being brought to you from my back garden!
Nice doggy walks.
Painted another 2 panels of fencing X 3 coats! ( one coat paint my @rse,)
Walked to T to drop of aluminium cans. Should be all caught up now for new recycling system.
Walked to mobile library , wasnt sure when it's in my street ( fortnightly ) and it's always at the same place each Thursday. Took 2 very overdue books back but no charge. borrowed another 3 for me and 1 for GN.
Met my neighbour/ friend there so she gave me a run back. Good chat with her.
There's a tent up in my garden! It's possibly going on holiday on Saturday so being tried for size. Have kept it up for GN to go in.
Just waiting on the niecely people coming and having Chinese food for tea. Our guest did offer to help me cook but I just can't be bothered!
Enjoying the gentle warmth on my arms and feet. Have been most unglamorous all day as painting but have just changed into something a bit more weather appropriate.
Laughing with son and daughter in the garden earlier. I love how they interact together without a middle person. Though I dearly miss my middle person. It's just a different dynamic.
Big buzzy bumble bees. I've realise that I've not seen them in 8 years. I hadn't even thought about it until I kept seeing them fly by!0 -
A day of ups and downs
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A bribery breakfast out for smaller son as Thursday is his worst day by a mile.
3) Had my hair cut at college (£3).
4) Went to collect bigger son from his bus (he can only get within 10 miles of home on a Thursday as he comes out of college late so he gets off at my sister's house). He'd got the wrong bus (!) so I sat at my sister's and had a cup of tea.
5) A very tasty beef tagine for tea.
Today was the day when only 2 hens ran to the wire of their pen to greet me. Barbara this afternoon had "gone off her legs" and was very weak, though still opening her eyes when birds sang. Went down again after tea expecting to find her gone and she had recovered enough to climb the ramp and was dozing in the sleeping quarters! I still maintain it can't be long and the other 2 hens were acting strangely around her in the sleeping quarters, squeezing in behind her instead of finding their own spaces like they usually do.0
