Morning Folks,
Yesterday
1. Sunny all day
2. Cleared all decorating stuff and stuff which has been dumped in the dining room. DH put new pictures up on the walls and the rug down. He also blacked the grate. We have a dining room again!
3. Coupon shop in Mr S for posh ice cream. DH was more successful than me, as his SA took all coupons. My very grumpy SA refused one of my coupons, but still ended up with 2 tubs of ice cream for less than half price! :j (Small victories).
4. Dropped more EBay parcels at Coop drop off. SA now knows my name! :rotfl:
5. Takeaway for tea with friends. Had DH!!!8217;s favourite deserts for afters, (with posh ice cream) and prosecco, as it is his birthday next week. Sang happy birthday. The kids all made jokes about having a turn at blowing out the candles, shouting !!!8216;Again, again!!!8217;. Very funny as they are all big teenagers or early twenties, but a nice reminder of when they were little.
Too much wine, which made clearing up a bit tricky. No hangover, so I couldn!!!8217;t have been that bad.
Have a lovely dayDD home in less than a week :j

8Afternoon all, just waiting for the train to go home from ICT - i hate this sunday afternoon train and usually avoid it but today i've no choice as I have to go to Cardiff early tomorrow and the trains from here would arrive too late (unbelievably - travelling within wales is very sloooooow). Been super duper busy of late - mostly work with some leisure
Pleasures recently
1. I am doing an unbelivably soul-destryoing job that, if my professional body had been so inclined, could have taken them about 5 minutes. It will take me a month in all:mad:  The job was agreed between me and the, then female, diversity and inclusion officer who has since been replaced. She was of asian or mixed descent and was a young woman. She has been replaced by a white, middle aged man who not only said he couldn't help, but told me this was not the way to do my research and to try a different method....:mad: However, the pleasure is that I am seeing some repsonses and getting some feedback from respondents that will make the whole thing better. I have also set up an additional meeting in a sector i was struggling to access...
2. DD and i had a lovely afternoon and evening in london. Kinky boots matinee followed by wagamamas and then Harry Potter part 2. All fab
3. Beautiful day yesterday - 10 miles of coast walked and, of course, finished with beer
4. OH has mended my bike
5. the threatened rain for today has not materialised..
Have a good afternoon / evening all

Morning All,
Yesterday was a day of shopping, in preparation for lessons today. Was supposed to do this bit by bit over the hols, but as usual left it to the last minute!
1. Shopping trip #1.......EBay parcels dispatched and Argos order collected. (Included new ironing board with flamingo pattern cover and Star Wars dressing gown for DH birthday ).
2. Shopping trip #2.......Fools Errand doing a circuit of Mr A in search of the half price kindling I had seen on HUKD. Also got various ingredients for students to invent chocolate bars today.
3. DH went to visit MiL. I didn’t :j so, Went for coffee when he got back as a treat. Dropped Charity bag at Oxfam on our way past. (Nearly sorted DS1 ex GF stuff ). A few of the EBay listings of stuff she left behind ended while we were having coffee, so a little more compensation in lieu of rent.
4. Made chicken and leek pie for tea.
5. Last one of Agatha Christie.
Have a lovely day
I hope to keep up with all your pleasures.0 -
1. Brother in law collected his car. He came in and said hello briefly but had come straight from airport after a holiday in Barbados. DS2 was paid.
2. DS2 had paid me more for his car insurance which I paid in September. It means my emergency fund is looking much healthier.
3. Went to a garden show which was enjoyable and then went to Wisley and had a quick look round the gardens before the heavens opened and we got soaked.
4. Home and it was dry so spent an hour in the garden. Mainly moving plants.
5. DS2 cooked tea with leftovers for lunch.0 -
Sunday pleasures,
Up early and took little dog for walk around the field, lovely morning.
Bacon paninis and the Archers omnibus, panini not exactly BSD but thoroughly enjoyed all the same.
A cull of all winter clothes not worn over the last few months, two bags ready for the hospice shop and wardrobe a lot clearer, the less clothes I have the happier I seem to be and easier it is to put outfits together, win win.
Visit from eldest hollow legged one, ate plenty and left with goodies.
Last episode of Christie, no spoiler but why oh why did they change who the killer was0
