Questions about forum members being banned

Hi everyone
We've had a few emails come into us recently asking about forum members who've been banned.
We can't discuss individual cases here but we just wanted to reiterate the reasons why a forum member would be banned so it's clear.
Banning a forum member is always a last resort. Forum members should only ever be removed based on what they have posted on the Forum, never on who has reported them.
Unless a forum member has posted something extremely serious warranting an immediate ban, all forum members who reach the point of banning should have already received at least two requests from us to post appropriately, and in fact sometimes we've given many more chances than that.
If you can't get on with another member and don't like their posts you must always block them by adding that user to your ignore list and never reply to them however unhappy you are with the other forum member (by responding in kind you also break our rules).
If you feel the other member has broken our rules you must report that post before adding them to your ignore list, without replying.
The full info is in our Forum Rules here: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs#posting
If everyone can help us with this by using the ignore/block function you won't fall foul of the rules yourselves.
You're all fantastic forum and community members. Let's focus on helping each other save money and cut costs in a friendly way.
Thank you! :T:T
