Hi guys so spoken to the bloke whos in house, they clearly have 2 cars between them and wife is still out at work. he has seen the deeds / proof we own space has said sorry and was told by others was free to use (pointed out is not free to use now). however we had an ok conversation with him last night and then the women obviously got told and started off on one (i say this a women so :p). hopefully with proof given will be ok, we are off tonight but will wait for her to get in park elsewhere explain to her then leave and if she has intentionally moved car during course of night to our space we will know a issue.

So...did she move her car into your space when you were out last night?!? Keep us updated...!

Hiya no this morning was all clear - but can never be sure if its just a one off
  • Fingers crossed she's stopped now then.

Some people push their luck to the limit and beyond and one has to be very "firm" with them. But hopefully that's that now resolved.

Seems like people in question have moved onto trying their luck with some other persons car space (they may have okayd it and have permission who knows)

Probably they don't (have permission that is).

Some people just have a massive sense of entitlement that they can have what they want - absolutely regardless... - and keep at it until they find someone too weak to stand up to them.

True, but some people are are just plain lazy and will do anything to avoid walking an extra 50 yards if they can help it. They'll see an empty space, think "oh, xx isn't using it, they won't mind if I just nip in..." etc.

That said, if they have one allocated space and two cars, then they should realise that there are going to be parking issues and that they might have to park further away where there are unallocated, first-come, first-served spaces available. Thinking one can simply park in someone else's space, or monopolise visitor spaces is simply anti-social.

Let's hope the OP's neighbour is more of the former rather than the latter...
