Bad Tyre fitting

Have you checked the tread? Unlikely, but you might have picked up a puncture?0

As above, you may just have been unlucky with a puncture. I'm not sure you will be able to "obviously" claim for a new tyre, let alone a new wheel. If they are prepared to come out and then they discover that there's a nail or something in the tyre, you'll be sorting a new tyre out at your own expense.0

No chance. This is a strictly one-way transaction. OP is already certain he's getting a new tyre and is looking to claim for a new wheel and a day off work.AndyMc..... wrote: »Really and if there is are you prepared to pay for the garages time to

Plus a bit of compo to sweeten the experience.
He got a puncture, carried on regardless and caused more damage.0 -
Wow - amazing how you really jumped to a conclusion there! There is NO puncture, the tyre is obviously faulty and I was asking on her if anyone else had any similar experiences in this type of situation. Thanks for your input but don't jump to conclusions about people you don't know - Im not looking for a sweetener, I was asking in terms of what would be acceptable to mention in my complaint - oh and I didn't carry on regardless, as I mentioned earlier I pulled over as soon as there was an issue.AndyMc..... wrote: »Plus a bit of compo to sweeten the experience.

So you managed to get all the way home before it went flat?
Given you've not tested it, I wouldn't rule out a puncture.0 -

I managed to get 30miles (approx) then there was a noticeably difference - when I pulled over. The way the tyre is sitting on the rim looks as though it is not seated correctly. The bulge is making the tyre look as though it is not touching the rim. It's difficult of describe but in a nutshell there is a gap of about 30mm in that area. There is not a visible puncture - tread is all good and have jacked it up and no objects sticking out of any tears/holes in the tyre itself. Just wanted to ask to advice on if there's any come back on the tyre company.0
