They do the final big reductions at about 5.30 by me. The reduced prices prior to that today were 90p and £1.60 respectively. I saw her coming so put the stuff back on the shelf then grabbed it again after the final reduction.:D You sort of have to follow the staff around as they go - which must be fairly frustrating for them or make them feel very popular:)
The bowl of melon, cherry and mango I got for 40p last week lasted three meals and kept well - it was very nice but not sure I'd ever have paid the original £4 price!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:Make sure you are writing all these down, I'm sure you could publish a book and makes loads of dosh! :rotfl::rotfl:Reading the recent threads about measurements shows just how much we vary.
Sorry folks, I just tip some squash from the bottle in a glass, turn on tap, drink, job done:rotfl:
Re your phone, if you don't use it much (I hardly use mine) you could do worse than GiffGaff. I bought a cheap sim-free handset and pay £5 per month. I gives more than I need and I haven't found cheaper.
Upside is popping into M&S very late - so tea tonight is two packs of teriyaki beef bites reduced to 20p each from just under £2 and a fish selection sushi box reduced from over £3 to 35p:)
Ok, so it isn't freshly prepared food but covers all food groups and doesn't appear to have any particular nasties in it and not greatly over processed so not too bad all in all.
SunnyG - I hope your Mum is picking up. UTIs are a real nasty, my Dad is plagued with them after having his bladder removed 11 years ago and finds it hard to drink enough when he feeling rubbish with the, Does she like ice lollies/poles? He likes them when one hits and I think the cold helps soothe if his temperature is up a bit. He buys sugar-free as he is also diabectic but a wee sugar hit might not be a bad thing if she is also not eating much.
Good evening everyone,
I was back to physio this morning so had to be up and organised early doors this morning so toasted crumpets for breakfast. :)At the moment I use a zimmer to get around (on physio advice) or walking sticks if I can't use the zimmer. I've to keep the zimmer for most of the time but try Nordic Walking Poles instead of the sticks. The NHS don't supply these but basic ones aren't expensive so I've ordered a pair. I'm just waiting for the teasing re yodelling etc. to start from my family & friends LOL!:rotfl:
Lunch when I came back was some of the smoked mackerel pate I made yesterday on mini oatcakes with the LO pea pasta turned into a wee bowl of soup. The oatcakes aren't something I would buy normally but they were lurking in the cupboard from a hamper I was given last year. They were lovely but handmade so I would imagine quite expensive for what they are.;)
I'm keeping it easy tonight with a one pan meal of pork steak, courgette, mushrooms and spuds. I suspect an early night will beckon!:D0 -
I know what I am having for breakfast tomorrow, pizza. I had to take it out the freezer because I needed the space. Ok so my meals are sorted for two days, having made enough turkey casserole and still have two baked apples left as I cannot squash them in the freezer. Oh heck I took a soup out, so I`ll have to have that as well tomorrow. I should be smiling as it is all done but in reality, it means that there is no choice, like crispy cold buttered spelt toast0

Small plastic green bags; I bought a pack of mixed sizes from a really cheap shop (I know I didn't pay a high price as I'm too tight, probably the 99p shop before they were bought out by £land). Probably 10 reusable bags in there, so I expect them to last "for life" really .... they should outlive me, even if I get to 110.
So look in cheapo shops and market stalls selling cheapo kitchenwares.
Thank you PN
A potato storage question was raised in the 'Garden Fence' thread earlier and I recalled you mentioning your success.
I'm hoping you didn't mind me sharing; all accredited to you

. My on-line shop arrives in a bit so assuming they are included I'm having chicken wings for dinner, I'll decide later if I want them spicy or herby:).

I know what you mean about the freezer space, we all seem to have a constant battle to fit everything in0 -
