.... a large caterpillar clinging .... I'm sure I felt something hit my head!....

I found a tiny one on my arm the other day - some minutes after I'd been looking at a thistle that was entirely covered by them and I'd never seen something like that before (or, at least, not seen anything like it for 45+ years when I think our cabbages had something similar).

Glad mine wasn't in my hair!

Glad mine wasn't in my hair!

They'd have trouble finding mine...for last three weeks my (head) hair has decided it wants out and is making a very good job of it :(

CFO? I've hardly eaten for three days..for eg. yesterday I had a tin of drained chick peas with a splash of Tabasco and a dollop of mayo...that was it for the day..
    ...

    'Must try harder' :o

Sorry for those going through the mill as they say. Hopefully things will get better.

Sorry I haven't been on the thread for a while. Just caught up. Still here though. OH is away right now so it really is CFO! Not much cooking, more bung in microwave haha.

    Mish mash today.
    Coffee
    Overnight oats
    Fruit
    Pasta salad
Microwave veg (courgette, broccoli and cabbage)
    Mint tea
    Peanut butter on rice cake
Small piece of vegan white chocolate
    Water throughout the day.
Edit : portion of blueberry soya yogurt.

There is enough pasta salad for tomorrow. Overnight oats for breakfast tomorrow. Grab and eat quick before work.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

Karcher it sounds like things are really difficult for you at the moment, please consider seeing your GP x
  • Karcher - definitely a(nother) Sodder re your hair.

I'd echo going to see the doctor - if only for reassurance that, when life calms back down again, the hair should come back to normal.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Having LO lasagne for lunch and there is still another portion from the freezer, so in true CFO mode it's leftovers from recycled leftovers :). Pork ribs and baked courgettes for dinner later I think:)

Lunch was a simple cheese omelette and chips ... followed by a choc ice.

Those chips have had a hammering, I'll need more next week at some point!

I'd intended to make a quiche..... that didn't happen as I CBA.

karcher, you need protein for the first two meals of the day. Hair is made from protein and if you don`t have enough, then hair isn`t essential and will thin and fall. I make sure I get protein for these meals, I don`t feel like it at breakfast so I have an egg at about 10 and a meat/fish/nut/cheese/bean meal at lunchtime. Even a small handful of nuts will help

I have an awful lot of posts to read and will do in good time but life is awful busy, too busy to watch tv if truth be told. A quick favourite meal at the moment is all in one pan, thin sliced carrots cook 5 minutes, added chopped runner beans and chopped wholegrain spelt spaghetti pasta, in 5 minutes add chopped courgette. At the end just strain and I add fresh herbs, mint and chives yesterday and parmesan but anchovy is also lovely. Lid on to melt together for a few minutes and it makes a quick, healthy and lovely meal in a bowl

Today was one of my ready meals, lamb etc plus fresh cabbage. Allotment is going ballistic and I have been busy picking and freezing for all year round. Loads of ratatouille type portions made and frozen, made with green beans, courgettes etc. All I have to do in winter is add something to cook under foil and its done. Worth the effort but I`ll be so glad when picking stops and I can get ready to hibernate

Breakfast was scrambled eggs on toast.

Lunch was a toasted cheese sandwich. I think I am about to start going through a phase of toasted sandwiches. This is the second one this week :).

I've finally got around to making the shepherd's pie that I have had a craving for all week. Most of the meat in my freezer is frozen in 2 portion sizes to allow one to eat, and one for the freezer, so there will be a shepherd's pie going into the freezer later. So that's dinner today.
