Thanks - that may be why I've never seen them as rice pudding is my food hell:D0 -

So that's four sausage rolls today already.
The other two are calling my name louder than the pack of raw lamb mince can manage....
Raw and unprocessed things just don't have the same voice poor things;)
Well, was out for breakfast today but decided to have a little bit of toast before I went. However, I was clearly on some early morning other planet and had eaten my usual much larger breakfast before I remembered - so I ended up having a coffee watching others tuck
in!:(:(0 -
Afternoon all
Mixed weather with Brian here, was throwing it down this morning, then sunny, now wet again, windy all the time, just a few wheelie bins AWOL windy though, nothing awful
Up late, one fig roll biscuit for breakfast
Only celery with a YS today, but bought it anyway because a "cream of celery soup" light bulb lit up, could be next HM soup. I have made celery one before, and it was very tasty, my version needs a good blitzing though
MITSTM, I confess, my kitchen is, or could be like super nova if I turned on all the lights, but I tend to use the under cupboard lights or just a plug in spotlight. My big fail, I have a cooker hood, with a light, the lamp has blown, and despite my many years of electrical experience I have not replaced it. The job is in the roundtoit file
Lunch was nice warming LO beans on toast, with fried eggs topping
Dinner will be YS smoked mackerel with salad & baked spud. I am opening a Waitrose YS Olive oil smooth dressing, sort of posh folks salad cream, used the last of my pleb salad cream yesterdayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I had the final two sausage rolls.
The next easiest food to cook will be another baked spud... so might have one of those later, with cheese as that's already grated.
Just one more spud to go after that, from the bag of 10 I bought.
I might toss the necessary spices etc into the lamb later ... to make it easier tomorrow to just cook it .... or I might not be able to find my Round Tuit.0 -
How do you top 6 sausage rolls?
.... chocolate pudding and a chocolate sauce
Oh yes. And I've leftovers too.... allegedly for tomorrow.0 -
UFO from the freezer - not entirely sure what it was - but think it must be homemade hummus done with a recipe that didnt have garlic in. So that was toast, topped with hummus? and tomato. Followed by pear, persimmon.
Now having almond mylk to drink and not entirely convinced about T*sco's own brand one - don't think I shall be buying that one again and am trying to persuade myself I should finish the carton anyway. Experiment coming up of trying a "name" brand one next - which I suspect I will much prefer being me...:rotfl:
EDIT; few more sips of it - and errrm...nope...I reckon I've just wasted my money there - as I don't think I'll be finishing it. But guessing the name one (ie Rude Health) might be a rather different kettle of fish. Yep....I'm the one that likes lemon & ginger tea - but not T*sco's own brand - it's gotta be Twinings LOL.0 -

Guess you've spotted Lild has bakers on offer this week? i had one with tonight's dinner
Round Tuit = Very handy bit of kit
The smooth olive oil from Waitrose, good job it was YS, it came out in a Gloop so not a good start. I will not buy it again, fell into OK category,
Smoked mackerel was good, more in the pack than I expected so I have one of tomorrow's meals sorted
Could be another evening of binge watching Duchess of Duke Street whilst nibbling biscuits:oEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good evening everyone,
Brian has arrived! Not too windy but my word is it cold and wet. Only plus is that the rain has stopped the idiots who have been letting off very loud banger-type fireworks all afternoon:cool:.
Steak dinner here tonight and I'll make up some peppercorn sauce (a packet mix with some extras added:cool:) to have with it. There will be LO sauce so I might use it up tomorrow with either some cooked chicken or roasted belly pork/stuffing from the freezer. I bought some sprouts this week just a small bag so will use some of these tomorrow too, much as I like sprouts I don't fancy them with my steak tonight:D0 -

That's the trouble .... it's easy to not be able to avail oneself of a good offer because you're still working your way through the last "great deal".
Spuds I bought worked out at 40p/Kg, so I don't feel I missed out if I don't get any L1dl ones.0 -
money, I think I read that you had a vitamix? well that makes delicious almond milk but you need a nut strainer bag (amazon/ebay). Soak almonds overnight, squish the skins off, put into fast blender like a vitamix with vanilla extract and a couple of dates and water (filtered if you can). Whizz and then strain. I used to hang the bag in a tall container or from a cupboard handle. Strain and squeeze, it stores well for a few days and it is gorgeous at a fraction of the bought price
No idea what to eat tomorrow, froze the dals for other times. Think I fancy some meat and veg but tomorrow is another day, maybe an hm pizza, which I really do like0
