I had a bagel and some ginger/green tea for breakfast.
I'm making veggie soup for lunch, broccoli, carrots, spuds, garlic, red onion, red pepper and will probably chuck some dried red lentils in there too.:D0 -

Good morning everyone,
My Dad is well on his way to recovery as I found out when he arrived at my back door as I was finishing a cuppa. He'd been to Morrison's and had bought me an ornamental cabbage plant
, not a bad swap for a bag of tomatoes, broad and runner beans, a portion of turkey mince & aubergine curry and some cooked rice so his five-a-day will be well covered today anyway
. I'm not completely convinced he's not still harbouring the original cold germs so have given my handles etc. a precautionary wipe down! Still good see him back on his feet.
There's a portion of curry left so that'll get frozen later. I'm not sure what's for dinner I have my GP review this afternoon which tends to leave me a bit drained so something easy I think.0 -
It has been awful busy here, real hard work/effort busy, taken all my time and later time spent trying to get rid of aches and pains and also trying to get back into a good sleeping pattern, ie getting rid of whizzy head along with aches. All done and and back to an easier life tg
I have been having two small breakfasts lately, I need to eat soon after waking as it is 13-14 hours since the last meal. Normally some spelt flakes and either almond or hemp milk, depends on my mood re effort to make the milk, I make a litre every few days. Later a bowl of thawed allotment berries and currants, few walnuts and half a small yeo yoghurt plus two shots of black nespresso coffee
Plenty of zing after that coffee for a good cycle ride, done that. Hm pizza using a ball of thawed hm pizza dough spread on a silicone mat, love that pizza, topped with thawed mozarella, sardines, red pepper, lots of red onion, small thawed tomatoes, and tomato puree on the dough. Will follow that with 85% chocolate and will very happy with todays food, so the last meal and snack can be pretty well anything, probably soft goats cheese on rye sourdough and the rest of the apple crumble which was topped with flapjack mix and baked to crispy
Nice veggie soup wednesday0 -

I had toast and honey for breakfast this morning, I couldn't decide what I wanted and that was the easiest option.
Lunch was the now repetitive tuna mayo sandwich.
I've made the fish pie that I fancied yesterday for dinner today, having bought some potatoes sutable for mash this morning. There is enough for two days, but that's ok, I'll probably have it tomorrow as well.

Guess it is indeed soup weather at the moment and yep....that was the main part of lunch today.
I got round to making that vegetable soup with beans in and plonking some hummus on top. Preceded by a plum and now having some seedy sourdough bread.
Well that's two differences between mine and the one a friend served me then. The hummus sunk to the bottom on mine and I guess that was down to it being thinner soup and the fact I use soup bowls (instead of the wide flat bowls they were using). So the hummus completely "drowned" in mine - but never mind - it still tasted fine. I'll find other uses for the hummus with no problem.0 -

Afternoon folks
Now coughing like I smoke 40 a day [non smoker BTW, stopped over 40 years ago]. Up in middle of night grabbing the cough mixture, works fine but wears off of course
Stayed in again, just not up to it with sniffling & hacking. Plenty of food in so no need to go out

Ah, the CFO lunch repeats, I am currently on my ham salady sarnie repeat, had that for lunch and plenty more left in the packet
Dinner I just don't know, plenty of options but I think the CBA solution of nuking a ready meal chicken korma will do for tonight, probably have it with frozen Actifried chips
The korma is one from Iceland, never had one of theirs before, here's hoping it is OK and can become a handy frozen standbyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I've just knocked up a chilli... served with a bit of white rice and the last of the tortilla chips.
OMG .... I should 'cook' more often, it's much better than any ready meal I've bought.
Having said that .... I did have to chop an onion, so I had to have an onion, which meant I had bought 1Kg, which means I now have 965 grams of onions still to eat
Nearly put in a bit of pepper with it - as I've got a pack of 3 (red, yellow, green), but I couldn't decide which one - and then I didn't want to cut a tiny slice from a whole one just to put into the chilli. Also, no beans, CBA to put any beans in it. it's really just beef/onion in a chilli sauce0
