    Good evening everyone :hello:

    Happy Birthday Zafiro :bdaycake:
The cake is always calorie free on your birthday :D xx

I have had a good day today even though I went way out of my comfort zone and travelled to see my lovely friend. She is having a very difficult time at the moment as her husband has just been diagnosed with dementia. She can't drive to my house due to her vertigo so I caught the bus and went to see them instead.

I was very careful about what I had for breakfast and dinner so I could enjoy lunch with my friend. She made pasta bake, not diabetic friendly unfortunately but it was delicious and I only had a small portion.

Next week she is coming to me so I will meet her in town and we will be 'ladies that lunch' :). I will hopefully be able to make a good choice as there are an abundance of cafes and restaurants where I live.

    So, my meals today are:

b - scrambled eggs on toast, small cup of tea
    l - pasta bake
d - chicken and vegetable curry with a titchy bit of rice
    s - apple

Hope you have all had a good day, take care xx
  • Happy birthday Zaf. Enjoy the lobster.:D and the champagne.

Feeling good today, no idea why. Food........

Breakfast. Scrambled egg on toast. Snap! dumpling.

Lunch. cheese omelette and enormous salad.
stewed apple set in SF lemon jelly.

    Extras. 2 or 3 plums.

I am now sitting down with a small glass of cheap, sweet sherry. I mean, how sophisticated can you get?

    I had
    B. A roll with butter and jam, a croissant and lots of coffee
    L. Bowl of hm tomato soup and a small piece of cheese. More coffee and a piece of chocolate coated kendal mint cake....it would be great if toothpaste were like that
    D. Small pork chop with apple and onion, baked sweet potato and a green salad and one small glass of red wine.
I had my beetroot juice mid afternoon but skipped oats today.
I did go for a walk but it is so cold! I swear I saw snow on the distant mountains but OH says its cloud.

  • Is there room for a newbie please?
I have weighed in this morning heavier than I have ever been and need to seriously do something about it :(:(:(
I look forward to joining in the next challenge and until then will mull along and try my best. I have myfitnesspal downloading as we speak.

Main thing for me is sweets and sugar :eek: such a sweet tooth.
    Time to find me again
  • I'm finding that I can vary by as much as a kilo in weight from day to day just presumably with liquid intake but if I see 66 kilos I'm able to cut back a little that day and be back to 65 something next day. I always weigh first thing in the morning and with just my skin on after having that first loo visit so I know the weighing is consistent. I'm still being careful as to 'what' I eat and the quantities I eat every day but am finding it much easier than I thought it would be to maintain the weight loss, and even have a piece of chocolate in the afternoons if I DO want one. Last night for supper we had a pork chop, mashed potato and steamed carrots, broccoli, green beans and swede with gravy followed by baked apple with dried cherries and a little cinnamon sugar with a dollop of skyr on top and this mornings weigh in was half a kilo lighter than yesterdays! I still not having breakfast and yesterday had porridge and fruit for my lunch which may have helped with the weight recorded today. It's nice to find some control, somehow takes the 'scared' I'll put weight back on again away from life!

Good morning....I too have restarted using a site I have used in the past. We go away on holiday in 10 days...yes I know, more holidays than Princess Beatrice....and I would like to start lighter as it's cycling one day rest the next for two weeks and the less I weigh, the less I'm taking up a mountain on a bike!

    B. Yog, oats, banana, blueberries, cashews, coffee
L.hm courgette soup, cheese, bread for DH
    D. Chicken chickpea and aubergine curry, rice

Back still sore but only taking painkillers at bedtime. .it hurts if i stay still..i intend to go for a run.
