Do I need to reply to this letter or just await court papers?
I would ALWAYS reply asking for photos and a copy of the contract (sign), be robust and keeper replying and telling them they have failed to fulfil their duty as solicitors, and are disregarding the overriding objective requiring them to provide all information and documents and facts, especially to an unrepresented litigant in person.
Give THEM 14 days to reply and tell them they cannot proceed to a claim at a stage where discussions are ongoing and they have failed to supply facts and evidence about any contract/signage or breach.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, it's 14 days from letter dated 20th Sept
Then they have no option but to adhere to this
Meaning their court claim will commence after the 1st October
We will be very keen to see how Gladstones will handle
the new procedure
Rest assured that every movement by Gladstones
will be scrutinised here and on peppioo0 -
They have sent photos however these are not dated. They have not included a picture of the signs. After reading their letter several times now, I am questioning if the letter is not standard reposted they send to everyone. It includes paragraphs about issues that I did not raise. They have also not specifically answered some of my questions.
I plan to respond with a robust reply requeting pictures of their signage.0 -

Highly possible.
Come the 1st of Oct the Gladstones boys are going to have
provide facts not fiction if they are to satisfy a judge
Why not request pics, prolong it out, they will have to from
the 1st of October
Anyway, the new procedures will probably cost
these legals more than the claim is actually worth0 -
Hello again,
I wrote back to Gladstones requesting the information they did not include on their original letter. I obtained a certificate of posting. Today I have now received court papers. Is my only option now to prepare my defence?
I was issued with my original parking ticket due to the ticket blowing out of my windscreen due to windy weather. I have the original ticket as it has fell into the footwell. I'm not sure if this is defendable?
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.0 -
Defend it. Your ticket will be great evidence.
How to defend is explained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post # 2. Use that as your guide. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Do I state in my defence that the ticket fell into the foot well?0

Do I state in my defence that the ticket fell into the foot well?
Possibly, when you get to the Witness Statement stage - but, of course, that would be an admission that it wasn’t correctly displayed. Don’t jump too quickly on anything. .Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I suggest you have a look at my 'flipped ticket' thread for an example of a defence for your case. I submitted it recently. Hope it helps->

I wouldn't. It would be more about the fact you displayed it, no admissions.
Claxtome's wording is the one to adapt/use, for a defence and later in a WS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
