    Sunday we went for a beautiful walk next to (and on top off :eek:) a frozen river. Apart from a pack of hot chocolate and a courgette it was a NSD. Yesterday saw 20cm of snow, very unusual for this time of year. Too dangerous to drive so just took the kids out sledging within walking distance. Had family film and played games. A complete NSD.

    Today will venture to Helsinki for the first time, looking forward to it :D Am sure the parking will cost a fortune but having investigated the train that's not cheap either!

    Hey all, am back but very much struggling. Tried taking DS to a holiday activity thing earlier and he had a meltdown because he didn't win at a game. It was difficult, embarrassing, upsetting, and with the diagnosis completely understandable. I feel really tearful and am still hurting from the diagnosis. This afternoon I've done nothing but let him watch Lego programmes, I am just worn out with it all. Feel like a terrible parent.

    Nope, not terrible, just a human being. And some serious screen time today is going to do no long term harm. If you both needed the recovery time, then it's not a bad thing xx

    :kisses3: Thanks greent for the kind words, am feeling a bit brighter today. I have a cracking headache and low grade aches, probably from being a carby/ caffeine addict on holiday and now getting back on the low carb way of eating. I only put on about 4lb, although it felt like a lot more. I noticed how bad sugary food made me feel (but I still ate it :o) but definitely makes me determined to stick to my new way of eating. Just need to get through the carb flu stage again :eek:.

    Getting on top of mount washmore, four loads yesterday and first one of the day already in. Online shop done so fridge and freezer stocked up again. And I've also started updating YNAB, although still some way to go on that.

    This afternoon we have Peter Rabbit booked, tried on a meerkat movie but booked wrong type of tickets so despite accepting the code it didn't apply the 2 for 1 :mad:. I've emailed but not expecting a refund, and the difference is only £2.50 so just need to chalk it up to experience.

    Car put in for MOT, fingers crossed it will pass ok otherwise we'll have to use OH bonus and then some :eek: to get a new one.

    Today's enough list:
    * pick new blog template
    * [STRIKE]send mum birthday card[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]passport photos for DS[/STRIKE]

    Get ahead:
    * [STRIKE]washloads x3[/STRIKE]
    * put laundry away
    * [STRIKE]empty OH bag and put all bags away[/STRIKE]
