pay as you go ,
gas 4.32 =£148
elec 14.70 = £311
no standing charge
Where/how do I find that?
I went to their website and looked in the Eastern supply region and was offered only this
Edit: Looks like user grrfy found similar to me in another thread you suggested that supplier in

I don't think there are for those supplied via PPM
But I'm all ears if you know otherwise
Ebico changed it due to the nature of the price caps (i.e. they cannot any longer charge significantly higher unit prices) - they said the only way to supply now that makes business sense is to impose a standing charge
Utliita? E Energy? Think they have NIL SC but higher unit rates for PPM0 -

A completely misleading and inaccurate thread title with some Mark Twain echoes.
Your complaint is about SSE and how they are treating their customers, it has nothing to do with Ebico."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
I have just switched over a vacant property I own to Ebico on a no standing charge tariff. Its gone through on 3 rd July..Ebico are now in partnership with Robin Hood Energy..any poster mentioning SSE are talking about a historical connection which has gone and need to delete their posts.0

After all this kerfuffle....
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5608866
I too have received a letter from SSE telling me they're moving me from my SSE/Ebico account to a SSE standard tariff beginning on 24th August, which they calculate will increase my gas charges by £44.69 annually, and to partially compensate, they will credit me with equal monthly amounts of £3.73 for the next 6 months.
I will take advantage of this. However, after that they can keep their SSE standard tariff and I will move to Ebico/Robin Hood for my gas and continue to benefit from the "no standing charge" rule.0 -

Why wait until then? As part of the kerfuffle it was discussed how Ebico/RHE were reducing their charges whereas customers staying with SSE would see their prices increasing. People getting WHD or who felt SSE's customer service was likely to be better than Ebico/RHE's - and stayed with SSE - have already been paying more for their energy than they did with Ebico/SSE for some time now.
If people no longer think SSE's customer service is worth paying a premium for then I don't see the sense in delaying the switch to Ebico/RHE (unless you have WHD, or can get a cheaper deal elsewhere)"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Unit prices are capped for PPM metered customers- that's whats causing all the issues
I think you are correct about utilita, but I think you need their smart meters to access that tariff (and I don;t think a Utilita PPM smart meter is not compatible with any other supplier)
E energy did come up on EHL, but it's not available to purchase through EHL - you have to go direct. I can't get the E website to work.
(I.m not certain it is available as according to EHL it has 2 rate charging, i.e. charging higher for initiual units consumed, and I thought that was outlawed ages ago)0 -
As I commented on another thread, I received the letter from SSE this morning and my gas projection went from £34 to £123!
Fortunately my switch back to RHE is already underway.0 -
I've been speaking to Robin Hood Energy today and am fairly sure I'll be switching to them shortly. One question I forgot to ask though, is whether they are part of the Warm Home Discount scheme. That makes a significant difference to my bills, and it wouldn't be worthwhile changing if they didn't provide that.
Does anyone know if they are part of that scheme? (I will try ringing again but, good lord, the waiting times...)0 -
I don't think so, Chris. This (below) is a cut and paste from Ebico's site with links removed (as a new user I can't post links):
Closure of EquiGas and EquiPower
In March this year we wrote to all our customers announcing that our, then, supply partner, SSE Plc, had informed us that they could no longer guarantee the future of the EquiGas & EquiPower and that, as a consequence, we had brought our partnership with SSE to an end and were launching a new, and cheaper, zero standing charge energy plan, ‘Ebico Zero’ with our new supply partner, Robin Hood Energy.
We understand that SSE has now written to those customers who remained supplied under the EquiGas/EquiPower arrangements advising them that the tariff will cease on the 24th of August and that, after that date, they will be transferred onto SSE’s standard variable tariff (SVT) – which does have a standing charge.
If you have any questions about this letter, or its contents, you should contact SSE Customer Services by calling 0345 071 9710 or emailing
If you are supplied through a credit meter, and wish to remain supplied under a zero standing charge energy plan1 – and with a lower energy rate than that currently being charged by SSE, click for a quick quote, or call us on 0300 004 03 08.
1. Please note that the Warm Homes Discount (WHD) is not currently available through Ebico energy plans, provided via our supply partnership with Robin Hood Energy.0
