the demise of Ebico

What are Ebico/Robin Hood like at sending out amended bills to the correct readings? I have a gas credit meter but nothing in the property uses gas anymore. The readings will never change however I'm bound to get estimates at some point. Are they efficient in this respect? I'm slightly concerned as they/RHE have some seriously awful reviews on trustpilot with regards to their customer service. No way would I give them my electricity.
Also as the tariff ends in December, does anyone know if the new tariff/s will be no standing charge or not? Surely this is their niche and so would have to be?
I get the standing charge discounted with SSE until the end of year so may stay with them and see what happens?
If you get estimated bill contact them with actual readings and they will rebill. Its a must do imho to submit readings for your billing period, You should get notification when they require them for your next bill0 -

The tariff does NOT end in December - it's an evergreen tariff
(December is only when the price guarantee ends)0 -
First bill has arrived today, for period 12 April - 11 July. The gas part is ok, what I expected, the electric part is estimated, and double what it should be. I don't know why they have estimated it, they have both readings.
I see that the electric readings which were previously missing on my online history, have now appeared. It is there in black and white, 3486, they have estimated it at 3993. I now have to email them, shouldn't have to do this if their departmental systems are compatible with each other.

Had to go back a bit to dig this thread out. My amended first bill has arrived, and it's CORRECT.
Electric used 216.0 kWh @ 15.1905 p/kWh = £32.81
Gas used 291.8 kWh @ 4.7305 p/kWh = £13.80
Total to pay with VAT £48.94 (12 April - 8 July)
This is what I expected, much the same as Ebico/SSE. Yes, it's summer, and it will go up in the winter, but I budget for it, and I get the winter fuel allowance. I could save a bit more by going direct debit, but I am happy with what I pay quarterly.
A few teething problems with the changeover but it should be plain sailing now. I send in my readings monthly.

Thanks for coming back and reporting that things have been corrected. Not many people do; leaving the impression that the issue is still ongoing and the company are still at fault.0 -
You are correct that Ebico still lives.
However, there is now a standing charge for those supplied via a PPM - that's government interference for you.
In fact some of us including myself predicted the demise of Ebico when they partnered with Robin Hood Energy and dumped their Warm Home Discount Scheme customers because RHE do not provide Warm Home Discount. But I suppose that all depended on how many of their customers were WHD claimants which they lost.
I don't understand the OP's or anyone else's problem with SSE. So switch if you don't like it! From Ebico I went with SSE and then switched to Scottish Power where I am now. Not with RHE out of principle.0 -

I didn't know Scottish Power offered a no standing charge tariff
If they don't, and you are better off with Scottish Power, then it sounds like you were never on the best deal by being with Ebico for a very long time.
There are currently other suppliers that offer no standing charge tariffs, and many are cheaper than Ebico.0 -
I'm currently still waiting to get through to RHE to pay my bill.
Seems there are very limited ways to pay a bill from RHE and the 2 I have tried will not accept the low amount owing, despite RHE demanding payment,

Is it necessary to put this on every Ebico thread on the board?"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Is it necessary to put this on every Ebico thread on the board?
I haven't, but you seem to be in the process of doing so
