Perhaps no ones told the content they've moved yet? :cool:0 -
Several months ago,I did a survey, on Sky packages, which may indicate that they intend to change the structure of tv packages, rather than doing the odd tweak.0

Yes, I was thinking that when I did the survey and the follow up one. I had to laugh at the 'do you use illegal streams' questions0 -

...Seems to me that Sky are on with the process - but currently, can't see it making a huge difference.
So they have split up Sport - which only seems to help the footy nuts slightly -if you like 2 or 3 other sports as I do, then the saving would be miniscule, especially as you have to take Box Sets plus HD pack to get a watchable picture on some sports!
They seem to be determined to increase uptake for Cinema with all these promos - I suspect that many people have downgraded recently because of the rapid growth in Amazon Prime and Netflix.
The fact remains, that at £70-£80 per month for a complete package (or even more for Q) it is just too expensive for a hard pressed household to justify.:(
Roll on end of September -for the annual cancellation dance!!:rotfl:0 -
Previously, BT had been selling Sky Sports 1&2 on the BT Vision and BT YouView platforms at a loss. They are no longer willing to do so and are now selling Sky Sports at cost price, which in HD is an increase of £6 per month to £33.50, which is £400 per year just for 1 channel. So I've cancelled it. Not a happy bunny.0

It's a very small window of opportunity but if your BB is up for renewal then Talktalk have a cracking deal with Sky Sports. The downside is it's Talktalk.

Another thing I have noticed is that TCB dont offer anything now for existing customers upgrading to Cinema &/or Sports...Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -

The survey which I did (not directly for Sky ) suggested prices based on number of options, rather like they are doing with the sports channels. (I seem to recall that they did this many years ago when not called Sky.)
Depending on how channels are grouped, pay per number of units could prove popular for people who don't need children's, arts and music programmes, but would like the Discovery ones.0 -
Bad news for BT YouViewers on BT TV. Under the new package structure they will only be offering Sky Sports Main Event, with a spill-over channel for EPL games.
And the price will be going up by £6.50.
I need to take a hard look at my BT package.
I think I'll be paying:
£54 for broadband
£16 for some extra channels, but I only really want Eurosport
£28+? for one Sky Sports channel?
Add in Netflix and it's £100+/month for not very much.
The broadband is very good, but everything else (especially that YouView box) feels like a cheap ripoff.0
