I found a small white knitted seagull, wings outstretched, hanging from the light pendant in the kiddie's bedroom. Left it hanging for 22 years but I didn't have the heart to throw him away so brought him with me when I moved.0

This is not a house that we bought, but I have often wondered whether what we saw was left for the buyers.
It was a large old house which my in-laws to be wanted to co-buy and live with us (flats). I'm so pleased as the items, viewed though a downstairs window put us off so we went for a newbuild, meaning no house share with my mother-on-law, with whom I never did get on.
The room we viewed contained a made up bed with the imprint of whoever last lay in it ,commode, clothing, medicines and lots of other medical items, including intravenous tubes with needles still attached. We found it very creepy.0 -
DS bought a hall for his business and whilst we were rewiring it found several "rifles" in the floor void. On closer examination they were bits of water pipe fixed to wooden stocks. Must have been used for drill practice or perhaps the home guard?
They were full of wood worm so we binned them along with lots of other junk.0
