    Dear Sam

    Thank you for your email.

I am aware of the issues with this car park and Smart Parking, indeed if you read the T&A you will know that I even raised this in the House of Commons about three weeks ago.

I have pursued complaints about this company with the trade parking association, trading standards, the company itself and the parking ombudsman. Unfortunately none of these bodies believe the company have acted in any way unlawfully, and say there is nothing that can be done. However, I will continue to pursue this company and their sharp practices.

You can appeal against a parking fine to the ombudsman - POPLA - and their decision is final.

    Best wishes

    Philip

Another MP who does not have the ba*ls to take this further.

This shows the lack of knowledge of this MP
POPLA is not final and not binding on the motorist.
POPLA is the latest farce in the parking scam

There is no point in carrying on with the brain dead like your MP

Now wait to see what Smart do

Yes, I saw that but like most questions in the house, the day after
    is yesterdays news.

Nobody has ever said "why is this government allowing this scam"

Nobody has ever asked Marcus Jones MP, DCLG, why he
said he was doing something back in April last year ???
    AND FAILED

PM questions time is just an excuse for all MP's to get together
for 30 mins before going to the bar

I think this is a very cynical point of view.

I agree, this needs to be addressed, but cynicism to this degree will not help the matter.

Remember, there are also other more pressing matters which may have to take precedence.

If you want to make a change keep knocking on the door until you get the answer desired.

YUP, we have been doing that for a very long time right up to
Theresa May ??? and you are still having your problem !

Most MP's have proven themselves useless.
There is nothing cynical about it, it is fact

When you say "more pressing matters", do you mean about Jeremy Hunt
spending £44,000 on a new bathroom in his office whilst NHS staff and patients
are being terrorised by parking scammers ??

No, I am referring to the more serious issues of youths terrorising our local parks in Shipley/Saltaire/Baildon, where there have been various unprovoked attacks on young children and adults. resulting in grievous bodily harm.

I am on the same page as you with this parking issue but your attitude and approach may not be helpful.

I agree there are horror stories all around the UK but each issue
has a government dept to tackle the problem or even the council

My attitude and approach is directed at those who fail the public
and get paid for doing so ? in this case those who can change and
    stop the parking scam.

HELPFUL ??? They do not need my help to stop the financial
terrorism that goes on, what government does is not helpful

There is only one MP who understands this and that is
    Jacob Rees-Mogg MP
Hence a forthcoming private members bill

The letter you received from your MP will be the end of
    the matter

I have every faith that Philip Davies our Shipley MP will do what he is able in this regard, but I also understand that this would not be the only and most prioritised issue on his agenda.

Please do feel free to email him directly about this matter ( philip.davies.mp@parliament.uk ) if you are on of his constituents, otherwise, keep writing to your own MP until something is done.

Personally I cannot become consumed by this. Although I agree that it is not only morally wrong but dubious in practice, I cannot focus solely on this as I have many other pressing matters to deal with.

That is fine, do let us know if he is successful so we can point
our own local MP's in his direction
