Morning all :hello: determined the job obviously wasn't the one for you. Hope you can arrange to manage the workload in this one in the meantime. My list for today:

    WFH :j
Checked banking and moved interest to LPDF
    Meals from stores
    Washing out on line
Check fridge and freeze anything that needs it
See if some potatoes are ready later in garden
Check surveys, cash out a £3 one
Pay nursery bill using childcare vouchers
Sort through some more paperwork and recycle
Some sort of exercise later, possibly a run with DH :p

Bit too muggy for me this morning, hopefully it will clear later.

    Morning All

DNMS - Sorry to hear about the job interview but something great is just round the corner for you - good things do happen to good people and you are a SUPERSTAR in my eyes

Yesterday was a write-off for me but on the upside was also a NSD, was so tired I fell asleep twice before DS went to school so hubby sent me back to bed, he woke me at 1 when visitors arrived, as one set of visitors left another set arrived. Slept well last night, just woke feeling really "off colour" and grumpy. The sun's shining so hoping that will lift my mood, so today's little list

Packed lunch for DS - Done
Check Bank and make PAD - Done
Few bits from supermarket - Done
    RM Surveys - 1/2 done
    Dog sitting for DD -
    Continue purge on emails -
    Enter a few comps -
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Check: Luckyphone, Ashleigh, FPL, Numberplatelotto -

    Have a great day all.

    Love

    Morning Campers,
    Today's shaping up into a good money saving day & did a job from my Annoying Things List too;
*Make dough for bread rolls. Done.
*Try new slow cooker BBQ sauce recipe. Done. Hope will be yum.
*Pick french beans, blanch, bag & freeze.
*Cut watercress & make cream of watercress soup for freezer (using up last of the nearly ood powdered milk).
*Divide up YS mince & make quarter-pounders for tonight. Save the rest for tomorrow's chilli.
*Ironing. Sighs.......you can bet I will be sorting the pile thoroughly & only use electricity on what really needs it.
*Knit more of current 2 projects - socks & also a scarf/wrap thingy for me in lovely autumn colours.
    *Do meal plans.
*Remind mr f to post ebay parcel & withdraw cash ready to pay Grimsby fish man tomorrow.
Ok. Coffee break over. Off to deal with triffid watercress.
    Love f xx

    Afternoon everyone

We had a lovely time yesterday at friends sons birthday party, very relaxing. The children all enjoyed playing with their friends, whilst us adults spent many hours catching up a socialising with our friends :)

Today I have given us a slow start as it ended up being a very late night.

    Today's plan:
    Dry washing outside for free
    Set WM to run overnight
    Set DW to run overnight
Soak a batch of oats for tomorrow's porridge
    Educate children for free
    Entertain us for free
    RM survey, restarted this week
    B/L/D from stores
    Stick to meal plan
    NSD
Look into day trips for July and August
Share home grown raspberries with the children

This afternoon we are off to visit my sister and family, I was thinking of going earlier and taking lunch for everyone, which would have meant a special shopping trip :( instead I arranged to go this afternoon and take some home made cake (all ingredients in stock :)) so no additional cost.

    Hello!
I'm sort of new. Well a new poster anyway. I've always been a lurker but I have started actively posting on OS board and also started a diary today. I think this thread is such a good way of keeping on track.

    Today:
    Check online banking
    Update budget spreadsheet
    Lunch from leftovers
    Dinner from stores
Bake banana loaf using 2 ripe and spotty bananas
Feed the ducks with DS in the park
    NSD

    Have a lovely day!

    Afternoon all :)
Really hot and humid here again today, shouldn't moan I suppose!
    Done so far:
Load of washing currently drying on line outside
    Watered front garden pots
Paid bill for camper van's engine operation  Going to try it out tomorrow though :j
Bit of cleaning, area round front door, paintwork washed, gradually getting round the house, one bucket of soapy water at a time! Chose this spot today as yesterday I freecycled an old kitchen trolley that had taken up residence there. Looks much better now :D
Small shop, will take food away with us. Used a triple points coupon :)

    Still to do:
Make a potato, spinach and chickpea curry to take with us, using HG potatoes and spinach. We were going to have this tonight, but DD has just phoned and asked us round for a BBQ at hers :)
Wash lettuce etc to take with us (as requested contribution)
Get washing in, fold and put away - hope none of it needs ironing
    Pick French beans
Water what needs it in back garden, taking into consideration that we won't be here tomorrow evening
Dog walk when it gets cooler

Right, better get this curry on!

PS, welcome, DaniS, we like to have new people joining us :)

Welcome DaniS this really is a great thread, it will help keep you on track for sure and what a great bunch of people on this thread:)

DNMS sorry to hear about the job:(. I'm a great believer that if it isn't to be it isn't to be, but something better that is right and meant to be, will be waiting for you:)

FVD I hope your son got on okay with his job interview:)

foxgloves if u need any more ironing........double ironing mount Everest is in danger of turning into triple mount ironing everest:eek:
Making the most of the good weather-catching up on the washing.....mainly from DD
Checked banking first thing, and cat cleaning all done for today
A good day today-a NSD and I managed to get some meals cooked using YS items and little bits left over like chesse. Extra portions stashed in fridge.
Cooked extra rice that I can turn into an egg fried rice dish for DD tomorrow for lunch.
Got a small amount of paperwork done today, hoping to complete tomorrow.
Must whip the vacuum round tomorrow, house still looking a state but have been putting bits away today so feel like I've made a start:p
Have a great evening everyone x

  • Morning :) yippee to it being Friday :j I have a busy day at work ahead, but think I can get what needs doing done if I'm really effective with my time ;)

lovely friend I have seen for months and hubby coming for dinner :j can't wait to see them. Need to stop at 4ldi's for bits. am making a vegan curry night :D

Need to clean up the house - hopefully won't be a big job due to all the entertaining we've done recently!

    water plants in a second

make madam's & my lunches. I'll have hg salad with mine :)

call manager in another team that I'm thinking of applying for a vacancy. Really torn with this as would be in a different team, so that would be good, more hours - good and bad! more money because more hours is good but losing work free time time and having to put madam into after school care 3 or 4 days a week not so good! - it also is a generic position so takes me away from specialising in mental health. Also if I commit to this I would need to commit for at least a year so holds me back from other opportunities.

Sorry for war and peace! Have a great day x

Morning all :hello: short list for me today as I'm away for the weekend with some friends, paid for ages ago from holiday pot and we're staying self catering so cheap but very cheerful :D

    I will/have:

Check banking, update sheets, moved some money around
    Check surveys, FPL
Get DH to post fleabay item, transferred funds to LPDF
Take bottle of champagne I was given as a thank you for something last week rather than buy one
Check if DH is going to eat lasagne in fridge today, if not I'll freeze
Some fruit on the turn for breakfast
Hot drink for my journey, pack running gear so I can hopefully do at least 1 run whilst away.

Right, off to get the small to schools, smallest school has 2nd settling in session today. Then I'll be away up the road.
