Morning all, up a bit earlier today though the temptation was there to turn over and go back to sleep!
I've already watered the back garden, I must remember to do the hanging baskets and the couple of pots in the front garden, they get neglected.
I'm going to try to sort sky and Santander online if I can, I get sick of sitting holding on the phone in a queue
This afternoon I am picking up my eBay planter, I've put petrol in as it's quite a drive but even accounting for that it's still a bargain.
I've just had some soup for breakfast, I'll leave the last YS crumpets for DS.
I was going to cook a slow cooker spag Bol for tonight but we have leftover chicken so I might do some mash to go with that instead (or bubble and squeak if Mr T have YS sprouts.)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Arghhhhh... What to do.... Remortgage time and current bank make it so easy to switch onto one of their pre-approved deals, saving around £200 a month and guaranteed acceptance etc... I could go through the whole-of-market check and get av similar deal... So why go through the stress!?!
MSE's thingy says HSBC could save me £1 a month compared to deal offend by bank so definitely not worth going through applications... :think:0 -
DNMS - I have the sensationail one. They've got an even better one now - express one. Think it's cheaper too and you just need one coat, rather than base coat, top coat etc xx0

Hello Wednesday Penny-Wranglers,
Have hurt my back so not a gardening day today.
*Golden lentil soup in slow cooker. Used 2 cartons of home made ham stock from freezer.
*Wrapped an ebay package.
*Watered veg - feeding day so will do that later if can lift watering can ok with dodgy back.
*Car tax letter arrived. 12 months tax = nil. I had forgotten our car is free of tax as we bought it last Aug & it's the 1st time we've had to tax it ourselves. Had intended to pay from Car Piggy but can now leave that fund intact ready for when we need new tyres.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Sew in ends on the dishcloth I quickly knitted last night. Had got dishcloths on my shopping list but decided to knit one for free using a scrap ball of cotton yarn from my stash.
*Cast on a wrap for me....using lovely yarn I received for my birthday.
*NSD as intending to stay home, rest my back & do lots of writing (sorry FVD, didn't answer you yesterday: a novel)
Enjoy the sunshine. Storms around tomorrow.

Sounds exciting, Foxgloves
I've just got off the phone from Sky and have negotiated £10 per month off my broadband so a saving of £120 :T
I collected my pot but nearly had a terrible accident on the way home. I have a blind spot in my new car and nearly pulled into the left hand lane as someone was undertaking me. I spotted her at the last minute but then over corrected and had a dodgy few seconds trying get the car under control again. I think I need to get one of those stick on mirror things that increase what you can see.
DS has an interview tomorrow for a temporary crowd control job at the local station during the Waterloo renovations, I think I may apply myself for another station (so as not to cramp his style) instead of trying to battle into town during it all! It would at least give me a basic salary for that month if I can't get to work (if indeed I even have work.)

Evening all
Very hot again today, little GD was hot and tired and not that easyNext week is my last regular Wednesday to look after her though - her mum goes on maternity leave, and after the summer hols she will be at pre-school for another day anyway. It has been great to be able to help them in this way, but it has been hard going lately. Of course I will still continue to look after her / babysit but won't be tied to every Wednesday during term time in the same way - until her mum goes back to work after the next one of course
Not a great deal achieved -
Entertained GD for free - hoping it is less hot next week though so we can take her out somewhere
Not spent much (just some tomatoes from the corner shop), unless OH comes back with a whopping great bill for the camper van's engine repairs in a minute that is
HM food from stores
Load of washing dried on the line
Watered back garden (everything is so dry, no rain here for ages), and fed the pots of tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes, blueberry and quince tree, plus some veg in pots
Sowed an empty tub with more spring onions - these grow really well in big pots / tubs, I would recommend them, they are easy too
Apart from loads of washing up, and tidying up after GD, that is itMust do better tomorrow!

Good evening everyone
Crashed out before then DD came in to ask several questions-cant remember what answers i gave:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Did a presentation this morning, felt really rough, I sound like a dalek-have a cold and a urine infection but got through the presentation, came home and just took things easy.
Must get some housework done, house is looking a tip again but just couldn't manage it today.
Cat cleaning was done first thing and making the most of the good weather, getting washing out.
More to get done tomorrow.
No money spent today. Went shopping last night, picked up some garden ornaments-an owl,and a hedgehog down from £5 to 9p:T with what looked like dead plants.originally the plan was to throw the plants and just use the ornaments.
Did a FVD and gave the plants a really good soak, got rid of the dead bits and both plants were really good this morning:)
All banking checked, d.debits checked and up to date
I'm glad madam had a really a good birthday DNMS. There is something magical at that age with birthdays, they grow up too quick. good luck with the interview
FVD hope DS interview goes okay.
LPP glad everything went okay with the op, u sound as if u are getting back on track with money and plans in place:T
Well that's it from me, off to crash out again:D xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sorry to hear about the job DNMS, there will be another
DS is just getting ready for his interview, HappyKitties, he looks so lovely when he's got a smart shirt on
I'm taking my mum to the market at Kempton Park Racecourse today and praying it won't be too hot. We'll probably go to eat lunch somewhere while we're out, I might suggest fish and chips.
I am covered in gnat bites again d spite closing the Windows last night and spraying the bedroom, they love me :mad:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
