So I should send them all as one? I read somewhere else I should send them individually? I've never done this before, as you can probably tell!

each appeal is individual , so I would print 4 pages (or however many you are appealing) , 1 pcn per page (so different pcn numbers) , put them ALL in ONE envelope and take to the PO Counter , and get a free proof of posting certificate from the counter staff

keep this free certificate safe and write all 4 pcn numbers on the back, and date it too

if they ask do you want recorded delivery ? , the answer is NO

    That's guys.
    This is the letter I'm sending using the template from the newbies section;

    Dear Sirs

    Re: PCN No. ....................

I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car.

I believe that your signs fail the test of 'large lettering' and prominence, as established in ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis. Your unremarkable and obscure signs were not seen by the driver, are in very small print and the terms are not readable to drivers.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.

Should you obtain the registered keeper's data from the DVLA without reasonable cause, please take this as formal notice that I reserve the right to sue your company and the landowner/principal, for a sum not less than £250 for any Data Protection Act breach. Your aggressive business practice and unwarranted threat of court for the ordinary matter of a driver using my car without causing any obstruction nor offence, has caused significant distress to me.

I do not give you consent to process data relating to me or this vehicle. I deny liability for any sum at all and you must consider this letter a Section 10 Notice under the DPA. You are required to respond within 21 days. I have kept proof of submission of this appeal and look forward to your reply.

Please find attached copies of proof of payment for the above issue.

Also since byelaws apply, you have no prospect of success at PoPLA and therefore you should cancel now to save yourselves money.

It's there anything else I should add?

That's fine, as long as the bank statement is included too. I like pappa golf's idea of sending 4 separate appeals.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That looks fine to me. The whole point of the initial appeal is to get a PoPLA code so don't put too much effort into it. Save the kitchen sink for PoPLA.

1 envelope or 4 envelopes, the only difference is the cost of postage

so either method is fine , do what you are comfortable with

I told you what I would do , obviously others may feel different about it and they have the right to say so , we all have our own methods

but choose a method and stick to it , whichever it is

the main thing is that they get there

the proof of posting is to prove to the BPA , or a judge , that the letters were accepted by post at the PO and are therefore deemed "delivered" 2 days later

the thing is , will they give codes or simply bluff "we sent you a letter" or "check your spam" , more likely if they have 4 in one envelope and the thought of 4 x £27 going thru there heads ,

Thanks everyone for your replys. I'll no doubt be back for more advice when the letters start coming back.

    Cheers
