APCOA Rail parking fine

Hi

About 2 months ago my wife received a parking fine from APCOA for failure to pay for parking at hanborough train station (even though she's parked there in the same vehicle for the past 18 months). The reason for the fine was failure to pay, now going back through telephone records and bank statements it showed that my wife had indeed paid for parking. So we sent a letter to APCOA (before we found this board) with bank statements and telephone records and they cancelled the fine. The reason for the charge was a 0 had been entered instead of a O on the number plate. So fast forward 2 months my wife never changed (eye roll) the 0 to a O so she's received 4 fines in 3 days! We're not too sure what to do as we're already had a letter explaining the mistake. Have we got a leg to stand on if we appeal? But one thing I can't understand is why it's never flag up for the previous 18 months she's been parking there.

Cheers

Dan

This time appeal all 4 properly, as keeper, NOT saying who parked on these occasions. Use the templates in the NEWBIES thread and attach proof of paying but without saying who the actual driver was.

The keeper WILL WIN at POPLA stage, even of she'd never paid and parked sideways for 3 days across a no parking area, you'd win, you know! It's all about appealing as the keeper. Not about proving the story of what happened.

    Read the NEWBIES thread.

Is it the blue template that says about parkingeye vs beavis? Then just change it to suit 'The keepers' needs? Thanks

Sorry, where should I add something about our case at the end? Just a short piece to say 'please find attach relevant documements to confirm that parking was paid? I have no idea what I'm doing.

    Thanks

Yes, just add a bit to the BPA template in blue from the NEWBIES that parking was paid for and here are copies of the tickets/proof of payment. Send this from The Keeper.

You could also add that since byelaws apply, they have no prospect of success at PoPLA and therefore they should cancel now to save themselves money.

    Separate appeals for each PCN.

Would this do to go at the end?

Please find attached copies of proof of payment for the above issue.

Also since byelaws apply, you have no prospect of success at PoPLA and therefore they should cancel now to save themselves money.

the ultimate end is only 4 mths away , as this is a bylaw case , and can only be bought by the TOC , in a magistrates court , the parking Co are empowered to give you a POPLa code , however yet again POPLa are putting bylaw cases on hold

expect the scum to pull out before popla

but go thru the hoops and chill

Minor tweak needed but otherwise it looks OK to me. Remember, send from the The Keeper, and a separate appeal for each PCN.

Letter is already to be sent tomorrow with bank statements showing that a payment was made to apcoa for parking.

Told the other half to send the letters a couple of days apart. I'm expecting another 4 fines to turn up.

What are the chances of this having to go down the POPLA route?

    Cheers
