  • Pretty much agree with most of what's been posted but as someone who has crossed swords with Doozergirl I would like to give an alternative view:

Doozergirl, 99% of the time you are warm, friendly and helpful but you do seem to have a large ego and sometimes you let it get the better of you.

If someone disagrees with your opinion it's almost as if you take it as a challenge to your authority and you then become patronising and belittling.

Most people will have a rant back and then forget about it but unfortunately there are those who always want to take it a step further. There is no excuse for this but i'm afraid that is human nature.

Doozer, stick to the 99% and try to Iron out the 1% nastiness. If you think someone is a fool try and be a bit more subtle about telling them.

Don't leave the forum, you'll miss it and we'll miss you. There is no doubt you are an expert at what you do and your advice is very much appreciated.

  • Doozergirl, just picked up on this thread and don't really know what it's all about.

You make a worthwhile contribution to this board. I don't always share your point of view, but that is what a forum is about.

Things should not get personal though. Don't let it put you off.

and for the record the mods on here could quite easily ban the ip address and all their aliases in one foul swoop, but it seems the mods haven't got the ability/capacity to do that for some reason.
Think the place is too big, so more capacity than ability.

What sort of nutters do you want? Redneck conspiracy theory Yanks; breatharians; guys who are going to make a million by next year (but are currently 6 figures in debt living in mum's garage); plenty of guys out there who are experts in dozens of martial arts, work for the CIA/FBI/Government (fill in any suitable organisation), own fortunes and have set up charities in their name all before they are 27; or just guys who can make themselves invisible? (   and yes, I can find links to all those without much difficulty. No wonder I'm here so often :D)

Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

  • This ones for DG.. hope you also read post #14 of my thread and the effort made in clearing up any misunderstanding and that it wasn't my intention to have a go at you.
Since my 1st experience of posting on here wasn't a good one i had decided to use this forum in a read only capacity and as i've previously stated i've read many many of your replies etc and have found them extremely helpfull which is why i felt compelled to respond to this thread and offer my support to you..
I agree with telfordwhite but would replace his view of "large ego" with "your passion to help sometimes gets the better of you especially when you're trying to talk sense to some people who clearly lack the capacity to understand that...It must get very frustrating sometimes which would excuse the 1% that lets you down..KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK :T

"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

Have only just seen this thread. I have not been around long but just wanted to say - dont take it to heart Doozergirl, most of us are genuine members who want genuine advice, and a chat along the way.
There are some sad gits around, they probably dont have ANY opinions in the "real" world, no- personality types who suddenly get brave under internet-cover.

Just do what you would do in the "real" world, and dont give it any more of your time.
  • Doesn't justify abusive PM's though, does it?

Erm, did you not read the very first sentence I wrote?
