Went on the above 3 centre AI holiday in April this year.....our first Saga holiday, and it was fabulous.
Exactly the same holiday is advertised on page 66 of today's DM. Same time next year, same price.
Bargain.

Only problem with that, it means you'll end up holidaying with a bunch of DM readers

Mmmm, I was thinking of Croatia & love the idea of a Saga but I've always found them to be expensive, although everything's included & it's a no mess no fuss holiday I should imagine. So that's a good deal then Pete?0

Unfortunately Saga holidays will be expensive. They have to cover the cost of the hundreds of brochures they send out every year to each customer or potential customer. OH gets at least 3 a week!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Wasn't our experience.
Never saw any British newspapers on sale anywhere. Never got into any political conversations with anyone on the Tour, nor did I hear any.....yarping on about Politics and Religion with people you don't know don't make for make for relaxing holidays.
No young people, so no need for any brainwashing Lefties or snowflakes either.
Just a load of over-50s having a great vfm holiday in a wonderful part of the world.:)0 -

Every holiday company has advertising overheads, including tens of thousands of brochures.
But unlike some of the major companies I don't think you'll find that Saga has got any expensive overheads on every High Street in the country.0 -

Hi Duke. The cost of the holiday is from £879, which is what we paid. And if you have your own insurance then you get a £42 reduction.
Includes...
- Return easyJet flights to Split.
- Return transfers, all coach travel throughout.
- Return ferry from Split to the Island of Brac [50 minutes]
- 4 nights at Hotel President [5*] in Solin [just outside of Split].
- 7 nights at Hotel Kaktus [4*] on Brac.
- 3 nights at Hotel Alga [4*].
- All Inclusive throughout. Food was excellent, and I never heard anyone complain about the quality of booze.
- Private Saga lounge at each hotel.
- Self-service Bar [hic!] for 12 hours a day.
- Includes 6 excursions, plus there's a few optional [and quite expensive] ones.
- Tour guide throughout, ours was a lovely Croatian lady called Tatijana
Croatia is stunning.:)0 -

I have dealt with several non High St holiday companies over the years and none have ever sent out as many as a quarter of the number of brochures as Saga!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Does the holiday that I've fully broken down in #7 above look like very good vfm or not? That's what the thread is supposed to be about, and all I'm trying to do is pass on a good deal.
I realise that Saga can be expensive, but if you are flexible with your own travel dates then you can also get some bargains.....I booked another one a couple of days ago.
I think you're exaggerating the amount of stuff that Saga send to you.....perhaps you should unsubscribe, and maybe the prices will go down a little.;)0 -

I am not exaggerating!!!! Some days there are 2 communications from them in different envelopes. Only yesterday we received 3 brochures. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

So did we, on Wednesday, albeit in the same envelope.....but we don't get 3 envelopes every week. week after week.
Perhaps you also get Saga's Home Insurance brochures, Wills Advice, Car Insurance, and whatever else they try and flog. Now that would do my head in.....but somewhere along the line you'll have ticked a box allowing them to send you all that sort of stuff.
You subscribed.....why not unsubscribe?
So is the the holiday I described in #7 very good vfm or not, that's what the thread is about?0
