scheming_gypsy - Could you perhaps take time out for a second and explain to us your understanding of how insurance works? For example, how insurers set premiums. Seeing as you are such an expert and all...

I'd be very interested to hear your response.

learn how to read then you moron. You don't understand it and you're the only one who's commented on it being garbled and incoherent. Maybe its you that has the problem,

Strange, very strange you complete idiot. I didn't say HOW insurance works did i?
Again, the problem is entirely yours because you're not very clever.

Proof of what? the fact that young drivers are being priced out of buying insurance? well, £2500 is very expensive for a pug 106, not many 17 year olds can afford £2500 for car insurance. Is that proof enough that car insurance is too expensive and youngsters are being priced out?
Or would you prefer to ignore that again.

shame, i'd quite like to see you turn blue and die.

you find it hilarious? you lead a sheltered life then.
I'm giving out advice when i don't have the slightest grasp? what advice was i giving apart from the basics on how to bring your quote down. Don't need a degree in insurance for that one do we Einstein.

who saif that it would be anybody's interest to increase the number of uninsured drivers? i haven't!
The fact you're too stupid to realise is, people drive without insurance because it is too expensive.

Personally i'd love to see you run down by an uninsured driver because you're the most unintelligent retard i've ever had to reply to. Darich is fine, he / she is asking questions about what i've said. You're just sticking pins in your eyes and not reading anything. shame its you putting them in because i've got a pickaxe here i'd love to put through your head and try and find a brain. PM me where you're from and i'll come and give you a few lessons, moron.

I don't think any more needs to be said.

I've not even pretended i know (unlike yourself). So, please, produce any evidence that i've put up here that shows i think i know how they set premiums!.

    Not at all.

I'll happily carry on the debate if you grow up a bit and make points without resorting to childish abuse. Again though - I'm not holding my breath. :D

Nice edits by the way. Good to see someone with the courage to stand by what they say. Heh.

you've just left some snide comment because you don't have the intellectual ability to argue a case.

Remind me who first resorted to ad hominem arguments (look it up in the dictionary) and then to mindless abuse?

Post reported again by the way. I don't think 'shut up you idiot' is compliant with the board etiquette, do you?

    :D

i don't care if it is or isn't.

to be honest i think you'll find i didn't attack anything, you started the attacking of my argument so i'll happily remind you that you resorted to them - idiot

Where is your evidence for this outlandish assertion?

Motor insurance is a very competitive market - every insurer has to strike a balance between setting a premium high enough to cover the risk and setting it low enough to maintain competitiveness.

There is no question of any intent to 'price younger drivers out' - the premiums are charged reflect the risk and nothing more. The reality is that the large proportion of irresponsible young and inexperienced drivers price their peers out.

there you go. You attacked my argument instead of responding with an intelligent reply. You attacked my view on it without asking why i thought young people were being 'priced out'.

you've also still not denied that young people cannot afford the insurance for basic cars.
