The OP specifically wants a PAYG deal. The cheapest SIM from iD is £4 which is likely to be several times the current spend. (The OP mentions £10 per 120 days as exceeding current spend.)

Hi RomfordNavy, EE has a number of different PAYG sim options .You can find them online here:

Samantha, the OP is looking for best value, EE PAYG is ten times the price of Three PAYG and 30 times the price of 1p Mobile.

The expression "when in a hole, stop digging" springs to mind...

Do EE even allow true PAYG any more? All I could find on the link were packs, which the OP said they didn't want. Even on the £5 one it seems that the OP would be paying for something they weren't using.

Of course on EE's rates as they used to be, 50 texts is still cheaper via a £5 pack than paying by the text.

EE charge 30p per min and 12p per text on PAYG, unless a bundle is purchased. See: http://ee.co.uk/content/dam/ee-help/help-pdfs/ee-standard-price-guide-14-june-2017.pdf

    O2 are 5p/5p, Three are 3p/2p and 1p Mobile are 1p/1p

EE are hardly money saving, regardless of the "offers" from EE's Samantha :rotfl:

    Thanks for all the advice.

Went with Asda Mobile in the end. So far so good, the number transfer from T-Mobile is now complete and I think all is working fine.
