Sadly no picture rails.
I ended up drilling holes in the wall, inserting rawl plugs, then inserting screws with a small gap left for the string of the frame to hang on.0 -

If the wallpaper isn't yet on, how about first fixing some thin steel sheet or mesh on the brick, then using magnets like on a fridge ?
I haven't tried it, but it makes sense.0
