Hanging a photo on a brick wall

Swmbo wants some photos putting up. The walls are brick and wallpapered. I had some picture hanging hooks but they're designed for plasterboard and not brick.
I was thinking of drilling and shoving in a rawlplug. But what can I use to ensure the photo hangs flush to the wall?

Q: Can I use Command™ Products on wallpaper?
A: You should not use Command™ Products on delicate or paper wallpaper. It may not adhere well to some vinyl wallpapers. Due to the wide range of wallpaper finishes available, some types may be particularly delicate. It is important to note Command™ adhesive is only as strong as the wallpaper’s adhesive bond to the surface below.
I'll take a pass on wall strips, especially as the wallpaper is £30/roll.

I've used command strips on a wallpapered wall before without issue...
Presumably you have a layer of plaster over the wall? You can just use some short panel pins in that, unless they are particularly heavy, drilling and plugging the wall is fairly severe! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Masonry nails into brick always works for me.
But there is presumably plasterboard between the brick and the wallpaper? If so, why not use ordinary picture hooks with their little nails?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I use these, which come in different sizes according to weight

It all depends on the weight of the picture and if you're likely to move pictures around so don't want big holes in your wallpaper?
If you're really worried about it falling down and possibly hurting someone then go rawl plug....better safe than sorryThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
