There's a subforum where you might get some advice.

Also, if any more things arrive addressed to this person, don't bin them. Stick them back in the post marked "Not known at this address - return to sender please".
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Searching this forum suggests this happens quite a lot.
It also reveals a horde of posters who vehemently declare it's always illegal to open wrongly-addressed mail, and others who (more calmly) point out it's only illegal if done with intent of financial gain or similar.

Any idea what I should do about this:-

Somebody has registered a vehicle at my address. I have the V5C certificate, and I have received a number of what look like parking tickets that I have binned.

DVLA website suggests, “If you’ve never been the registered keeper, write to DVLA to ask for proof that you’re not the registered keeper. Give them as much information about the vehicle as possible.

DVLA will update their records and send a letter of confirmation to you within 4 weeks.

    DVLA
    Fax: 01792 783 083”

Presumably that’s for the proof when bailiffs start to call!

Could be the insurance at your address is cheaper than elsewhere. Or they could be avoiding taxing the vehicle.

Can check if its Taxed here - https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/
    And insured here - http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/

(I’m on an iPad so I copied those links without checking then first, no guarantee they work)

Lastly are you sure it isn’t a neighbour making a typing mistake in the form? I’d be looking out for the vehicle locally.

    Thanks for the advice, everyone.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Michaels is a bit thick, isn't he?

On the bright side at least you got the cleaning done and then a bit of time out in the sunshine.

DD2s football team lost in the top of the table derby match against their 'sister' team and will probably now miss out on promotion. DD2 a bit upset but as I pointed out, silver lining is next season they will be by far the best team in their division and can get lots of wins and score lots of goals....
    I think....

Happy Mothers' Day to all NP who are mothers, or who have a "mother" sort of role to children not their own.

Thoughts and hugs and prayers to all NP for whom Mothers' Day is difficult for whatever reason.

Which sadist put Mother's Day on the same day that the clocks go forward? For some mums it is their only chance of a lay in.
