I also mowed the grass 2 days ago

Mine was finally dry enough to have a go at the first cut of the year the other day - it'd got so long, but still too wet to cut, that I'm surprised there weren't half a dozen tigers living in it :)

Somebody in Parliament has a sense of humour.

Parliament is going to debate the petition – “Revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU.”

The debate is scheduled for 1 April. :)

Yeah, I initially thought that. However it is just another working day.

I don't think they should get a day off just because the day has significance. There are some places it should be safe to expect are free from april fools jokes.

The same reason that someone who ends up in a criminal court on April 1st shouldn't expect hilarity to ensue.

Shouldn't be a problem. House business is usually in the afternoon and evening - after the midday cutoff for April Fools.

Laptop problem finally fixed. I'm back.
Did I miss anything that anybody wants to tell me about?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I don’t want to spill my political views over here as it’s not the place for it, but the matter does need to be discussed as a country in a sensible manner. I agree with the way that my MP has voted as I feel for the moment it represents a compromise, but my view on the matter has been made perfectly clear elsewhere.

They may have been a little generous with the wine on the middle leg of my journey (upgraded that bit to first class)....hic!

If it’s a longer work journey on a train I’m not likely to get a seat on in second, I will upgrade so I can work on the go.

It may be more cost efficient for this to happen (especially if you have a laptop with you) than for you to be paid to do nothing, if that makes sense.

We are very busy at the moment and I’m having to work weird hours for personal reasons to ensure everything gets done, so that may impact my slant on things.

It was a cost effective choice for me too, it was cheaper for me to upgrade that part of the journey to 1st class than purchase food and drink to have on the long journey home. As an added bonus, it's also nice to be treated as a normal customer, with the normal facilities others enjoy instead of being stuck by the stinky toilet and the bikes and suitcases with no table just because I happen to be in a wheelchair.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Any idea what I should do about this:-

Somebody has registered a vehicle at my address. I have the V5C certificate, and I have received a number of what look like parking tickets that I have binned.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I think I would phone DVLA and ask them what you should do next.

Is the name on the V5C anything you recognise??
