I got them but it doesn't seem to have made any difference to my wisdom...I married ex for a start! :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Well, that wasn't too bad.
Three separate issues... all "minor", kind of.
1/ I did burn my mouth/gum on my pizza, probably. That's healing.
2/ Enamel's cracked, causing the pain. Needs fixing with a filling before it snaps off and needs doing.
3/ A receding gum has caused double-pronged tooth bone to become exposed, this can lead to germs getting in.
Got an appointment for next week where he'll just check 1/ to see it's OK/healing and not something else. 2/ will fix that 3/ will have a bit of a poke around/clean to make sure that's clean in there, as he'll be sorting out 2/ in any case.
In the meantime, I'll just take paracetamol when it hurts.0 -
I'm still trying to get my head around how I could possibly have a youngest son who is going to be 21, where the hell did those years go?PasturesNew wrote: »I never got any of those.
I never had any visible ones....they were all impacted.
I had all four out under general anaesthetic when I was in my 20s, because at the time, it was thought best to do that to prevent future problems like abscesses.
They weren't causing any problems at the time, and I think now they just leave them in.(I just lurve spiders!)

Sounds like, for the first time ever .... a drummer's "giving it a little bash" at the rock star's house.
Not "loud", no accompanying wild music.... just sounds as if a marching band were walking past 2 streets away.
Unusual to hear a peep out of them at all!
Wild, crazy, renowned, full on mental rock stars .... much quieter than anybody with kidsI can thoroughly recommend them.
EDIT: Ah, finished.... so it only goes on for 4-5 minutes.... unlike kids who can be 7-10 hours non stop (and a lot louder).0 -

You just wait until they all turn 30!

I've never had problems with my wisdom teeth. It seems odd that you were advised to have them removed, but perhaps that left more room for the other teeth?
Edit--- I need to get a new brain, as I hadn't twigged you said impacted. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I though impacted meant they were growing in a strange direction, so unlikely to break through the gum?
I had mine removed when I was in my early 30s. Also impacted and one had pierced a hole in the tooth next to it. If they are impacted they grow in odd directions and can damage nerves or other teeth and can pull the adjacent teeth out of line.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. James had his removed by GA in hospital just after his 24th birthday. Mind you, he has to have all dental treatment at hospital because as soon as a dentist finds out he has EDS with cardiac involvement, they refuse to touch him, even for a basic check up and just refer him instead. We made it!
