...she's not the quietest at getting ready or leaving.
Some people are just "naturally" (aka carelessly) bl00dy noisy. My new/adjacent neighbour's got a bit of a troublesome latch-entry gate that she uses 10+ x a day; she just lets it bang shut all the time.... or slams it.
I have one neighbour who I know is home as I sit here and think "Ah, the woman with the car with 10 doors".... if she arrives home with two kids in the car she gets out/slams her door, each of the two kids get out and slam the doors, each of the kids will then realise they left something in the car and slam the doors, then she opens both the doors and checks if they left anything in the car and slams the doors - and, finally, she'll open up the boot and slam the door.... I always know when they're back.... and she doesn't even park near my house!0 -

You could always nip out and offer them lessons in quiet car door closing. . .
It's an amazing fact ,totally unknown to about 99% of people that modern car doors mostly shut with a gentle push.0 -

I think, more recently, it's also become "broken". Sometimes the kids play out there and in/out of the car - and at one point last year there was quite a lot of them and one got in the rear hatch/boot of the car and shut the door and then they were messing about (you know how kids can be with trying to force doors open/shut/locked etc when messing about unsupervised) and the locking mechanism broke... so they're probably not really what we'd call "thinking people".... bit dim really.0 -
My porch door always makes a noise when closing because it's a bit warped, and won't shut easily. You do have to pull/push it quite hard.
I do feel a bit awkward about making a noise early in the morning, but nothing much I can do about it.
Anyway, I'm a s quiet as a mouse the rest of the time, so I don't think the neighbours have much to complain about, plus I do help them out with things from time to time.(I just lurve spiders!)

There's a difference between one car, or house door that's a bit sticky getting slammed, and every door available getting slammed by each and every person who goes through it!0

Got big snows... you don't get that round here often.
Garden's completely covered over.
It might have disappeared by tomorrow morning, not to return for another 1-2 years... but, right now, I have big snows
EDIT: Morning ... and it's got no deeper and there are small sounds of running water down the drainpipe, so it must be starting to thaw. For down here, that might be "it" for winter then.0 -
Yep, not much snow here in London. What there is, doesn't look as though it will lie for long.
Bet there'll still be long delays on the roads though. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
There's more snow here this morning than I was expecting. Was looking for just a dusting, but it is probably closer to 5cm. Thankfully my journey to work is for the most part flat.
Last year there was one day when it was higher than my exhaust and I couldn't even get out of my parking space, in spiteof extensive shovelling. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? It's all running normally here, I'm in the bit of the county hardly affected by snow.
I did an "opening time" dash to 4ldi, hoping they might have red stickers everywhere due to fewer shoppers bothering last night, but pretty much naff all to be honest. Just got a half price bag of mixed peppers ... which is OK except I did the same last week and only used two, so froze the remaining three just yesterday.
I started a beef mince stew in the SC before I went out... and came home with some carrots and onions to add to the pot.
Just bought the usual stuff really ... bread/milk ... tins of beans ... chips, peas and fish fingers (completely out of all three of those and hadn't had any fish fingers in since before Xmas and ran out of peas about 4 weeks ago).
Sausage rolls for lunch I think0 -
Nothing here too despite the radar showing we were in the thick of it, think it skirted around us and hit other parts of the county instead.
I've missed my usual Thursday night yellow sticker bonanza at Tesco two weeks in a row, I normally go after collecting my wages just after 5 but I have been doing sickness cover and finishing after all the goodies have gone. One of the outcomes of this is mum and dad are going to have to actually buy some bread at full price.... for the first time in about a year!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
