In mentioning peculiarities found when house hunting....

EDIT: The transporters don't show up on streetview ... and those houses have north gardens.0 -

Gonna look up that road now, see prices.

While of course the racks of cars aren't pretty, the Mail is exaggerating to say that they're 50ft high. A rack of 4 cars would only be 50ft high if each layer was 12'6" per car.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Perhaps they meant 50ft high from the horizontal perspective.:D
I agree, though. The cars are higher than the bungalows, but not a couple of storeys higher.
Even so, I wouldn't like that at the bottom of my short garden.(I just lurve spiders!)

Here's another cheeky little "trick" I sometimes see EAs getting up to.
I had a house on my list which had gone onto the market on 14 Aug. I wasn't interested in it, but I did note that it'd sold at some point between 12 December and 11 January ..... today, a brand new RM listing appeared for it, same estate agent, "Added today" and SOLD. So they're creating an illusion that a house has just come onto the market and that anybody interested in it has already missed the boat.
They are crafty farquers.0 -

Q - How do you know when an EA is lying?
A - Their lips are moving.

Could you ask the EA to mention the cause of the rush-hour and its usual duration?(I just lurve spiders!)

EAs don't do the job they used to do ... these days they seem to see their function as just unlocking the door and following people round.
When I bought this house I asked the agent who owned the frontage - and he said "it's communal". It's not, nothing's communal... he just made it up.
Trying to micro-manage viewings would just end up stressing me out - and peeing off the agents
It is what it is.... and providing 1000 answers/suggestions for this, that and the other would be counter-productive (and ignored if it were a different person showing somebody round next time).
Viewings do seem to occur when there's "something unusual occurring" though, like the time a neighbour was moving in, right that minute.... 2-3 hours to move in ... doesn't happen daily, or weekly, or monthly ... just when there's a viewing
To be honest, there's also a high chance of "kids gathering" at that time too ....0 -
Blimey it's wet out there - and cold! Local roads are surface flooding ... you can barely see to drive because it's so pitch black and car lights are so bright and the rain is falling incessantly.
Glad to be home!0
