Michaels, if you add 20 cms to your garage, that's about 6 sq ft. Round your way, how much is 6 sq ft of garage space worth? £600-1200?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I drove through my town centre earlier, and there, in full view on one of the main central squares, was a whopping great giant menorah!
    About 20ft tall!

    How nice, I thought!

My town has a Jewish community, but not a large one, I don't think, so I thought that was a nice gesture. :)

oh-er, are we putting a value on an extra few inches now!

I guess for some buyers the fact their car would (or wouldn't) fit in the garage might be a deal breaker however that is probably only really posh cars as few seem to put the same value on using a garage for a car as we do any more - and we don't live on the sort of road or in the sort of house where people with really posh cars live.....
    I think....

I'm soooooo jealous of people with garages.

For the few years I had a garage, motoring life was bliss, especially in winter and on rainy days.

I haven't had a garage for 9years now, and it is hell for about 5 months of the year.

Just yesterday, I had rain on the outside of both screens and windows, and condensation on ALL the insides. I had an appointment to get to, and trying to get the condensation off the insides, so that I could see to drive, was a nightmare. :(

Admittedly, it seems to be worse in my present car than in my previous one, but nowt I can do about it. :(

Doesn't the AC clear it within a few seconds?

No, and I don't know why, given that I have it regularly serviced.

I think part of the problem is the severe slope of the windows, as I never used to have such a severe problem with my previous car,

    I hadn’t thought of that.

Just out of interest Pyxis, what do you drive?

My S-Maxes were one of the worst cars for condensation that I owned, the XF (estate) was quite good and my current car is quite good too. I didn’t put it down to shape of the windows, but now you mention it, it may be correct.

MIL has a Peugeot 206SW that was also getting foggy on a 2 hour drive a few weeks ago (I’ve just got back from holiday), although in fairness it was a fair way below freezing.

I thought that approach of valuing the extra usable floor area would really appeal to you! I'm so glum now. :(

Might be worth checking the pollen filter, and check that the inside of the car isn't getting damper than it should be from faulty seals or blocked drains.
