Unfortunately, quite a long way round the coast from here.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Yes, I use postimage.

I used to use photobucket but it kept throwing Wobblies, and postimage doesn't demand anything of you. Plus, sometimes my security settings on photobucket just reset themselves to public, which did nothing for my blood pressure!

I was told not to resize when posting from postimage to here, (and to use the Direct link option), and so I didn't, and I don't think I've ever posted something from postimage that was stretchy.

If you try it and it doesn't work, go back to 'do not resize'.

Thanks Pyxis. I'll try to remember that. I just tried it to see what would happen. The pannier came out a bit bigger than in my post above, for which I selected the resolution recommended for message boards.

I've just been amusing myself right-clicking on people's avatars and selecting "search Google for image". Google says it can't find my pic in any other sizes anywhere else on the web (good!) and then says it that's its best guess is that it's a dog - cue link to Wikipedia page about dogs. It can't recognise Pyxis's blackbird, though, and says it thinks it's an avatar. I'm rather impressed that it recognises viva's "keep right" saying its best guess is "joke sign".

Wow! Thanks for that - fascinating (and I liked the pun at the end).

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I don't think I've done anything to add it. I'm browsing on Chrome. Maybe that's why it's there.

Good heavens, giant is a bit of an understatement. 480m long !!!

If the rest break loose again, they might well stretch down to you :rotfl:

EDIT: Well, that's handy - they're just about 500 yards away and I can pop over in 45 minutes.

45 mins to do 500 yards? An asthmatic tortoise could get there quicker :p:p:p

    Don't quote, will delete.

    Nosey mode (as ever!)...

    Intriguing. Do keep us posted.

Lovely next door neighbours are moving out today. :(

Only a mile or so away, and on my cycle route home from work, so I'll still see them, but it won't be the same.

Not sure if the new people will be moving in today or not. They're coming from rented, so may want to delay actually moving while they take advantage of the place being empty to do stuff to it. Not that I can imagine what they might think needed doing - lovely neighbours have kept it immaculate - but of course they may want to redecorate to their own taste, or something.
