Somebody posts a response - and you recognise that surname from your tree.... so you spend half an hour doing that name's theoretical upline, back to 1858, then checking against your tree, finding where they fit in .... and wondering how to just toss in "Hey - your gt-gt-grandparents are my gt-gt-gt-grandparents ... er, except I'm from the wrong side of the blanket and so even if you do this history malarky you won't have known I was about".
Only .... you can't just toss that in there can you... not in the middle of chitter chatter
But I've just filled out a quick section of the tree at least.

I am actually watching the "whole of county", all houses, from £50k below my budget to right top of budget and then £25k over budget ... and there's nothing I've seen at all that says "buy me" ... nothing is right
So a range of over 75k and you can't find a single property you like in the whole country????I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Been an eek not quite 24 hours. Phone call from mum about 9 last night, she was not well and I advised her to call someone but she said she would sleep on it and maybe call the doctor in the morning, 11.55pm and another call, an ambulance has been called for her.
After lots of talking, obs etc, she declined a trip to the hospital (against advice) promising to see her GP this morning. She duly made the appointment and went to the doctors earlier this morning only for dad to have a funny turn in the waiting room, scared the staff half to death and an ambulance had to be called for him too.
He tried to decline a visit to the hospital but they didn't give him much choice. We (me and James) did go up in the car behind the ambulance but we've just been sent back home by mum and dad as it's James birthday and they wanted him to at least open his presents and spend some time with me.
They're not sure what is going on but it looks like he will be admitted, much to dad's frustration, they did however find evidence of the start of a abdominal aortic aneurysm but that is not what has caused the issues today. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Well, I did "skimp" on a lot "clearly in the middle of nowhere/dinky hamlet/never heard of it" - and avoided looking at "most deprived area of England, lots of drug problems, dossers and the homeless". But anywhere actually reasonable0 -
...
Sorry to hear all that. Been there - and done the multitude of sudden ambulance calls/runs ... and the bits where I prevented death a couple of times specifically... the drop offs at Hospital ... and the collections the next day when they're discharged as "nothing found" ...
I've done surgeries, biopsies, annual check ups, more cutting off of bits, collapses, diabetic comas.... I saw things I didn't even know people went through.
It's never easy, having parents.
At one point, it was so regular, I had two to look after - the ambulance was in next door's driveway and I literally THREW the overnight suitcase into the back of the ambulance and shouted "bye" after the last collapse as I still had one in the house to look after and it was past midnight!0 -
Oh Sue, so sorry to hear your news, what a worry. Thoughts are with you and your family x
Pastures Yes, sounds a good idea to steer clear of shared driveways!
I'm cross (shades of Theresa) - had an arduous dental appointment this morning involving a big temporary filling, and half the wretched thing's broken off already - and I haven't even been eating on that side! I did make an appointment to go back tomorrow just to have the sharp edge smoothed off, but I think a bit more has come off since then. Never had that happen with a temp filling beforeI really hope it won't have to be done all over again!

Sue, hugs from me. I can't say or do anything useful, but I hope they both get better. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Sue, I'm going to say this purely because they've both been unexpectedly and badly ill in a short timeframe. I appreciate that you didn't mention how they were feeling.
Have they recently turned the heating on? Do they have a carbon monoxide detector? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
