That is the sort of part that doesn't take a lot of strain. In future, the parts companies won't keep them in stock. They'll just print them when needed, or sell you the print file so you can print it yourself.

Just been outside to wash down the patio doors/back windows and sills - put it off until now under the heading of "Oh what's the point of anything".... they get quite mucky there with assorted airborne debris and leaves and stuff... not done them this year.

Just gave them a quick once over for starters.

I do hate the task though - the minute you raise your arm higher than your shoulder, all the water from your wet hand/sponge runs up your arm .... not pleasant.

I've also done a little bit of frontage weed cutting.... still a little hesitant to clear that area entirely "in case" new nonsense starts, with it being summer hols and all that.

By the way, in case anyone wants a wheel pizza cutter, you can get one free with any pizza from M&S, while stocks last.

I got bought a nice one as a gift about 20 years ago .... I've gone out of my way to use it (as it's nice) TWICE since then.... the effort of cleaning them's not worth it, might as well just use a regular knife for people with small pizzas :)

Well, I wouldn't have bought one but.......... there are very few pizzas I like, and the only two I do like are from Marks, so I thought I could buy a small one of those for the freezer, and get the cutter.

I did um and ah a bit, but I thought, well, I like that particular pizza, and it can go in the freezer, so why not?

If they hadn't had the type I like, I wouldn't have got another type.

When we had our extension 6 years ago we put (not fitted) the old lounge carpet (from the people before us time who had dogs) into the spare room as a temp measure until we decided what to do with the floor. Today, 6 years and probably 100 students and airbnb guests later we have pulled it up and are preparing to put down wood floor.....
    I think....

I was a bit pleased with a "find" today. Sainsbury's petrol station was selling dog cool beds for £5, which I thought was brilliant vfm. Speaking to the woman behind the counter, she said that she'd bought one for the dog, but her boyfriend had taken to using it. Having taken a while to think about it, that's genius!

May have to sneak back tomorrow and buy one for human purposes. It will either have sold out, or I'll get one, and it won't be hot again this year.

My Sainsbobs has an on site petrol station, but it's a Shell.

As for weather - it's rained overnight, looks like it rained quite hard.

You can get cool pads for your bed......large (ish) ones and smaller ones. I've had one for a few years. They're not too bad, but of course, if you lie on it all night it warms up.

I find it's more useful if I put it next to me on the bed and then half roll onto it from time to time.

    I can't remember where I got it from.....some catalogue I think.

I was only in my Sainsbury's petrol station on Monday, (getting my triple points!) but I didn't see any dog cool beds. :(

They used to give you vouchers for a certain number of pence off a litre of petrol, but they haven't done that for ages.

Edit.... this is the sort of pillow-sized one I've got.......

Sorry, the link won't go right.....it's £9.99 from Argos, anyway.

Edit edit.....hahahahahaha! You can also get one for your hamster! :rotfl:

You can also get a cool granite block for your hamster to sit on! :D

There's an idea! Granite slabs for beds for us to lie on! :rotfl:
