    My house is haunted!!!!

I painted a wall. Decided to take a break ... got down from the ladder and there was a white paint footprint in the middle of the floor.... it can't be mine, I'm being careful! :)

If you are haunted I think the very least the ghost can do is help with the painting :D

Tell it you'd like your mailbox key back please.

Well, kitchen's done - once it's dry I can see if there's any "missed a bit" - but as I've the other room to do, I figure I can pop back when I've done that and still got the roller/tray out and "dab at the missed a bit parts".

As it's drying it goes all sorts of shades, so you can't tell if you missed a bit or not until it's all dry.

There are a couple of "things I was trying to cover up/paint over" that I might decide to dab at again.... I knew painting over them would never cover them up, but I've gone for trying to not have them screaming "Look at this, what's this all about?" in your face when you walk in. Might look out for a picture :)

Bit by bit ... it's starting to look like a house "a normal person lives in"

    :)

    It's slow... but getting there.

Don't you hate it when ..... you decide to move furniture around - so you start by clearing space for the swap over... blocking you from getting out of the room. You clear the pieces of stuff ... and you move the first one most of the way, then get down on your hands and knees to clean the floor/wall/skirting board where it's been .... then you move the 2nd piece into position ... and you move the 1st piece into its final position.

You sit down and think: that doesn't quite look right .....

    :)

Oh well, I'm 1 point ahead of it not fitting! At least I can leave it and mull on it for a few days.

Could be worse - a friend's father managed to build himself into a flatpack cabinet he was trying to assemble. He thought it was easier to climb in so he could fix some cross-members in place, then couldn't get out again.
Nor could he unfix the cross-members because he'd managed to put the screwdriver down in such a way that it rolled out of reach :rotfl:

Is he still in it then?

You think you did so well...it's over. You've been back through several times and can't see anything wrong .... perfect. Right, off with that masking tape then.

Ahh.... riiight... so I masked right up to the edge.... and they didn't, so there's a minute fuscia stripe all round the room.... *sighs*. Had to get the paint out and the kiddy paintbrush, then gently tap all round to kill that off. It was about 0.5mm wide .... just a hair width really ... but due to the strong colour it was very very visible, so it had to go.

... not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I do hate painting :)

Wasn't thinking like a single person :) Single people have nobody coming, so they have to think things through a bit more and have a Plan B.... phone in pocket, wedge so the door doesn't shut .... think it through 3x before starting.

    :)
