We're watching it and there have been some good choons tonight.
Well done Israel!

Very happy for Israel. Netta is amazing live.
Silver, do you think they will go to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv? Netta said Jerusalem, but I wonder if the contest would be a bigger target there. Trying to decide whether to go next year. May sit it out as harder to get to Israel than western Europe. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? On a completely different subject, I am feeling happy about this.
No idea how influential or otherwise this particular group are, but pleased they're doing what they can.
That's a great story Lydia. Disappointed by so many of the comments on the story. Weirdly, I listened to the Portuguese song that came last and I utterly loved it. But then again, I already love the place. Must go back. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

The Portuguese song was great. The standard was very high this year with something for everyone. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Norway won the second semi final, then dropped like a stone.

Apologies all.
I don't see how one can predict the result. It's not just how good the song is, but there's also the collusion between the different countries' judges. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I read that there are only 2 big enough venues, one in Jerusalem and one Tel Aviv. Security will be tight whichever, I don't think one is more risky than the other.
Avios flight availability is usually good, also easyjet fly from LGW as well as LTN.
I wouldn't take Netta's statement as anything other than an off the cuff remark.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks, that's very reassuring. The security in Portugal was incredibly tight. Reassuring but a bit off putting at the same time. They had these metal devices to stop vehicles charging the roads, chained together and with big metal spikes coming out, huge cordons to get into the event and police everywhere. Not just bag searches but also complete pat downs to get into the arena. It was abundantly clear that Eurovision was a potential target. I've seen high security before, but this was security on steroids. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
