Pastures, you could stack the boxes like open-ended cubes, so that you can see what's in them.
As regards shredded paper, my Council specifically said to tip it in the recycling bin, and not to put it in a bag.
Every Council is different, though, so,you might be able to check online, or at least send off a query.Being able to see the inside of your fridge when you are in the supermarket would be useful.
It is useful to be able to turn on the heating before you get home.
Taking this one stage further, there is some Amazon (I think) device that automatically reorders stuff when it sees you run low.No easier than checking the contents and making a list before going to the supermarket
That's what my timer's for
Haven't they found a few issues with that? ISTR seeing that it was hearing stuff on the telly and ordering it :rotfl:
Hahahahahaha! Siri's always butting in........he'll sometimes start speaking, I suppose hearing something on the TV!(I just lurve spiders!)

Mine goes in the compost bin - and will, mixed with grass clippings and other vegetable matter, eventually get spread over the veggie beds.0 -
Batteries - PN, check the date on the "new" ones, because if you've had them for quite a long time they may be out of date, in which case they won't work. If they are in date, also check you've put them in the right way round - I'm good at forgetting that.
If they aren't out of date or the wrong way round, the remote's probably worn out!
Shredded paper - our council tells us to put it in "paper bags or old envelopes". Haven't they realised that old envelopes usually have your name and address on the front, unless you cut that off and shred it - in which case they're no good for shredded paper because they have a hole in them!]I suppose there are window envelopes - but aren't the windows made of plastic nowadays?
We save any paper carrier bags we're given in shops, and use those.0 -
Connected devices
Laptop
Smart phone (rarely connect it to home internet)
TV
There is my old Ipad around but it is switched off and now I have a laptop again, not used.
So at the most 4 but in use, only 2. Of course that number goes up hugely when the boys come home.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Would the door become unlocked ...? or locked?
I'd worry about fire escape if I were in .... and burglars if I were out.
I've got a nifty gadget called a "key".
On the Cisa lock I had, it stayed locked if the power stopped, and there was full manual override. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
