Although I haven't loaded it yet, I understand that iOS 11 allows you to have 2 windows open at once.
Also, I do sometimes play songs in the background from my iTunes collection while doing something else, so that might be an option? I know that involves buying songs, though.
Another option is to get a free music store like FileMaster, onto which you can put any recordings, for which you need a recording app. I use MTSR which is free, I think, or not very much anyway, for lots of recordings to do with AmDram, and with FileMaster, you can put them in a repeat or random loop, and they will play in the background for a while. (After several tunes you do need to refresh, but it is another option).
NB. With recordings on MTSR, you need to save the recording, then you can also set an individual song to loop as many times as you like, and it will play in the background. It won't do random looping, though.
If you want to export a recording to Filemaster, you can via email to yourself, then you can open and transfer the m4A recordings to the FileMaster app.
You can export tunes from MTSR via SMS, or to Dropbox or iPhones file sharing as well, although I don't, as I don't have a smartphone or a desktop, and I find Dropbox too unwieldy.
My problem is the stuff I listen to won't be on any of those sites or music lists, it's Josh's videos on Facebook and YouTube or just general stuff on YouTube coupled with a very tiny memory on the IPad.
The use of this iPad is purely temporary, the upkeep and management of my site is impossible on it...plus I'm a laptop snob :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I couldn't think of anything to say today - too tired0

I've been wondering that for a few days now!
Mind you, it didn't help that at some point I inadvertently unsubscribe myself from this thread!
Then it doesn't come up in my user CP 'subscribed threads' list of new posts, so I assume no-one has posted!
Dummkopf!
I do that a lot, but I usually notice! The 'last page' click-on button is very close to the unsubscribe button, and sometimes my stylus falls on by accident.
Maybe some people have got the lurgy?(I just lurve spiders!)

Oh silvercar, how awful
i take it his death was sudden? I am so sorry.
Lydia - I've just had an email from my sister-in-law (wife of my brother who died in November). She lives in Germany, but my brother was British and had worked full-time in UK for over 40 years.
When he died, she rang DWP and was told she would be entitled to a lump sum (which she is still waiting for) and then £100 per week until she reaches what would be her State retirement age if she lived in the UK. (Like me, hers would be this July, so she wouldn't receive it for long, but of course it would be a huge help.)
She has now been told she was misinformed and that because my brother died after 6th April 2017, she will get only £100 per month, not per weekI am ashamed of our government.

Watching Father Brown.....
DS is a big fan. I can't watch it. I know the stories from the book, and then get irritated when they've messed them up.Friends found out today that their son has died while abroad. We are all shocked and saddened.
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. How awful for them.
In due course (not yet, of course) do recommend this. It's the parallel support service to the "widowed young" one that I'm part of. I've met the people who run it, and they're lovely.Lydia - I've just had an email from my sister-in-law (wife of my brother who died in November). Grrrr.
This is just like the huge decrease in widowed parent's benefit (also, IIRC, affecting those whose spouse died after 6th April 2017) that I've been to see my MP about.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Re. Father Brown, I watched all the repeats last year. Hadn't seen it before.
The latest policeman really, really annoys me. He's a terrible actor, plus the constant antagonism is wearing. At least with previous policemen they did acknowledge Father Brown's assistance.(I just lurve spiders!)
