Oh poor man.
I mean apart from the awfulness of having a stroke and no one doing anything, why on Earth put someone in a discharge lounge in his pyjamas and bare feet?
And why, if he was having a stroke in a hospital, was there no response to the other people who were asking for help for him???Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
No idea....the staff there were not checking on the soon to be gone from the hospital patients (it was a struggle to find anyone!) and in fact, it took me being very forceful to get them to come and give assistance.
He doesn't get taken to the discharge lounge now, I threatened all manner of legal action at the time but mum and dad didn't want to take it any further but it must still be in his notes (probably in very big red letters), as they all know about it when it comes to a discharge. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I hope you at least got an official apology?
And not much consolation for you, but I also hope they reviewed and changed their discharge protocols, so that hopefully it won't happen to anyone else.(I just lurve spiders!)

I think the consultant said sorry to my parents in person but as I said, they didn't want to make an official complaint (they don't like fuss), so there was never an official investigation. We made it! Snow forecast for East Finchley this morning. I’m wondering whether to break out the really warm duvet. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Well, you only have two, a 4.5 tog for summer, and a 10.5 tog (I think it's 10.5), but then if it's very cold, you put both in one duvet cover! That gives you 15 tog.
I've never had to do that, though.(I just lurve spiders!)

Snow again....yawn
Not had any yet!
I don't count the very small amount of slush that landed on my car's windscreen last Tuesday night while I was in AmDram, but there was no evidence of it on the ground when I left the building.
And only had two windscreen-scrapey mornings so far.
Probably get a blizzard, now that I've said that!(I just lurve spiders!)
